The modulator, or scanner, thereby capable of altering the phase, thus steering light passing therethrough. During operation, the liquid crystal molecules deflect the light beam passing therethrough based on their orientation as recorded during fabrication when the applied voltage is "OFF" or in an altered state when the applied voltage is "ON".

The second container body has a second feature that permits the second fluid to flow from the second container body. The second container body is filled with the second fluid. The first and second container bodies are joined such that the first and second fluids are separated from one another and are sealingly contained within the first and second container bodies, respectively. In addition, at least one of the first and second container bodies is manipulated at a point of use to provide fluid communication therebetween resulting in mixing of the first and second fluids.
