Abstract: A method of “non-isopycnic” cell isolation and purification has the steps of adding a sample of blood to a defined volume to a corresponding ratio volume of EDTA solution to produce a volume of anti-coagulated blood; taking a predetermined volume of the anti-coagulated blood and placing it in a first tube containing a selected defined volume of PSS, wherein the selected defined volume of PSS is taken from a group of defined volumes of PSS, as each defined volume of PSS establishes a specific cell type to be purified; centrifuging the tube for a first predetermined time and speed to form a volume of supernatant of plasma/PSS and a bottom sedimented volume of mostly red blood cells; extracting the supernatant to within a proximity of an interface between the sedimented red blood cells and the supernatant; transferring an appropriate, pre-selected volume amount of the supernatant into a second tube holding a defined volume of physiological media; mixing the solutions gently; centrifuging for a second predetermined speed and time; and pouring off the supernatant wherein at the bottom of the tube will be a cell button containing a volume of the selected purified cells in a high percentage and a very small quantity or low percentage of some contaminating non-selected cells. This method is useful in establishing high purity concentrations of selected cells from whole blood such as monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils and basophils.

Abstract: A multiple pill cutting device has a pivoting housing structure holding a blade holding assembly. The pivoting housing structure has a top housing pivotably connected at one end to a bottom housing. The bottom housing has a plurality of pill holding openings arranged in one or more rows. The one or more rows of pill holding openings have a slotted channel extending along a length of the bottom housing through and bisecting each pill holding opening. The blade holding assembly has one or more extending cutting blades. One blade is configured to align with each slotted channel when the top housing pivots closing onto the bottom housing, this moves the one or more cutting blades of the blade holding assembly to enter the slotted channels and cut pills held in the pill holding openings.

Abstract: The neck supporting pillow with some special features: inflatable, this will give complete control over firmness, soft sponge-like material on the outside, to make the contact points soft, neck-support part is like a ridge, approximate width of the curvature of the neck. Anterior convexity of this neck supporting ridge is the most important feature. When the user lies on his or her back, back of the head will slide into a center head rest recess. This completes the anatomical-specific features. On either side of the head-rest recess is a slightly raised area to rest face on lying-on the right or left side.

Abstract: An improved dental hygiene device for wearing in the mouth over the teeth and along gums has a flexible open-support structure. The flexible open-support structure has two opposing facing bases, an inner base and an outer base. Each base extends the length of the device and has a curvature to fit over the teeth and along gums of a wearer of the device. The inner base fits between teeth and the tongue, while the outer base fits between the teeth and the cheeks and lips region of the mouth. A plurality of arch-shaped ribs extends from the inner base over to the outer base joining the two bases to form the flexible open-support structure. The support structure has a means for receiving and holding a cream or paste and delivering the cream or paste to the teeth and gums. The cream or paste is automatically wetted by the production of saliva allowing the cream or paste to wick and migrate into the mouth.

Abstract: A nebulizer apparatus according to the present invention has an enclosure including a primary chamber of ambient air, a medicant chamber and a secondary chamber. The secondary chamber is for containing water and includes an ultrasonic transducer and is in communication with the primary chamber. The apparatus further has a first switch for activating pump means for evacuating air from the primary chamber after which the transducer is activated for a predetermined time. The pump stops after a predetermined pressure is achieved. The apparatus has a valve that opens allowing a dose of powdered medicine in the medicant chamber to move into the vapor-rich primary chamber to seed and form a cloud laden with medicine. A mouthpiece is attached to said primary chamber to allow the patient to suck and inhale the cloud. The mouthpiece may further include a one way valve that seals the mouthpiece during evacuation and upon the patient sucking the tubing of the mouthpiece the valve opens to allow the cloud to be inhaled.

Abstract: A power generation apparatus 100 has a moving permanent magnet 10 having a north polarity (N) at a first end 11 and a south polarity (S) at an opposite second end 12; a pair of electromagnets 20,22 are positioned with one being in proximity to each end 11,12 of the moving permanent magnet 10. Each electromagnet 20, 22 has a coil 25, 26 wrapped around a central iron core 27, 28. When activated the electromagnets 20, 22 provide a repulsive force of the same polarity as the nearest respective end 11 or 12 of the permanent magnet 10. The apparatus 100 further has one or more switches 32, 33 for activating each electromagnet 20, 22 and a central coil 40 encircling the permanent magnet 10 and a battery 50 connected to the central coil 40. Within the central core 40 the permanent magnet 10 is moving repeatedly toward each electromagnet 20 and 22 and as the N or S end of the magnet 10 approaches the electromagnet 20 or 22 of the same polarity the one or more switches 32, 33 turns the closest electromagnetic coil 25 or 26 on creating a repulsive electromagnetic field pushing the magnet 10 in an opposite direction towards the opposite electromagnet 20 or 22. These movements also switch power off of the one electromagnet 20 or 22 and thereafter switching the power on of the opposite electromagnet 20 or 22 creating a repulsive magnetic field to push the magnet 10 in a returning opposite direction. Each movement of the magnet 10 generates an electric current in the central coil 40 to power a light 30 used to activate the switches 32, 33 and to charge the battery 50 while any excess electricity generated can be used to power other devices.
