摘要: A multi-tablet cutting device has a removable tablet holding tray, a housing structure and a plurality of vertically movable cutting blades. The removable tablet holding tray has a plurality of tablet nests. Each nest has two or more levels of beds sized to hold tablets of different sizes or shapes. The housing structure has at least one opening to receive the removable tablet holding tray. The plurality of vertically movable cutting blades is mounted on a support structure on the inside of the housing above the tablet holding tray above a location where the tablet holding tray is stored. The plurality of cutting blades is aligned above the tablet nests and upon a downwardly directed vertical movement the plurality of cutting blades passes through first slots in the nests aligned with the cutting blades to cut the tablets held in the nests into halves.

摘要: An expandable shoe has a top portion, a pair of side portions, a back portion, a sole, a heel and a first elastic member. The first elastic member joins the top portion to the pair of side portions at a critical location which is at the junction of the top portion and the side portions. The first elastic member is in the shape of an inverted “U” extending along the front of the shoe. The expandable shoe may further have a second elastic member joining the back portion to the side portions at the critical locations at the junctions of the back and side portions and the junctions of the back and the rear of the sole. The second elastic member is in the shape of an upright “U”.

摘要: A dental hygiene device for wearing in the mouth over the teeth and along gums has a flexible open-support structure and a fabric covering overlying the support structure. The flexible open-support structure has two opposing facing bases, an inner base and an outer base. Each base extends the length of the device and has a curvature to fit over the teeth and along gums of a wearer of the device. The inner base fits between teeth and the tongue, while the outer base fits between the teeth and the cheeks and lips region of the mouth. A plurality of arch-shaped ribs extends from the inner base over to the outer base joining the two bases to form the flexible open-support structure. The fabric covering extends from each base overlying the plurality of arched ribs. The fabric covering is permeable to fluids. The support structure has a means for receiving and holding a cream or paste and delivering the cream or paste to the teeth, gums and fabric covering. The fabric covering is automatically wetted by the production of saliva allowing the cream or paste to wick and migrate into the fabric covering.

摘要: An otoscope kit has an otoscope with an attachable ear wax removal device for ear wax removal. A fluid dispensing means which is attachable to the otoscope for ejecting fluid through said ear speculum into the ear canal, the fluid dispensing means being mounted on the gripping body of the otoscope. The fluid dispensing means preferably includes a housing, a fluid supply and dispensing container, a pump, a tube connected to the fluid supply and dispensing container at one end extending and connected to a connector on a speculum cover. The fluid dispensing means is controlled by an actuator switch that is mounted in an opening of said housing wherein the actuation of the fluid dispensing means occurs without blocking the line of sight through the viewing means. The fluid dispensing means further can have a fluid recovery means having a vacuum pump, a fluid and debris recovery container and a tube for connecting the fluid recovery container to a second connector in the speculum cover. The fluid recovery means is controlled by a second actuator switch mounted in an opening of the dispensing housing. The otoscope-come ear wax removal system has the main advantage of removing ear wax under direct vision.

摘要: A system for cordless transfer of power for appliances or electronic devices 30 has a power transferring device 80 with a plurality of magnets 52 driven by a motor 70B powered by commercial electric power devices or lines. The power transferring device 80 is positioned below a table or countertop 20. On the undersurface of each appliance or electronic device 30 are one or more circular rotating magnetic arrangements 52 with opposing (attraction) poles to drive a dynamo 40 or dynamos. When the motor 70B is switched on, the drive axle 72 rotates a support base 82 upon which a plurality of magnets 52 is attached about an axis which correspondingly moves the plurality of magnets 52 in a circular motion creating a rotating magnetic field 50 to turn the dynamo 40 inside the base of the cordless appliance or electronic device 30.

摘要: A method of “non-isopyknic” cell isolation and purification has the steps of adding a sample of blood to a defined volume to a corresponding ratio volume of EDTA solution to produce a volume of anti-coagulated blood; taking a predetermined volume of the anti-coagulated blood and placing it in a first tube containing a selected defined volume of PSS, wherein the selected defined volume of PSS is taken from a group of defined volumes of PSS, as each defined volume of PSS establishes a specific cell type to be purified; centrifuging the tube for a first predetermined time and speed to form a volume of supernatant of plasma/PSS and a bottom sedimented volume of mostly red blood cells; extracting the supernatant to within a proximity of an interface between the sedimented red blood cells and the supernatant; transferring an appropriate, pre-selected volume amount of the supernatant into a second tube holding a defined volume of physiological media (RHAE); mixing the solutions gently; centrifuging for a second predetermined speed and time; and pouring off the supernatant wherein at the bottom of the tube will be a cell button containing a volume of the selected purified cells in a high percentage and a very small quantity or low percentage of some contaminating non-selected cells. This method is useful in establishing high purity concentrations of selected cells from whole blood such as monocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils and basophils.
