Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reducing the signaling overhead for configuring a common reference signal used in performing coarse power control of multiple spatial domain multiplexing (SDM) uplink streams are provided. A base station may be in communication with a UE via multiple SDM streams directed from the same panel of the respective device. The base station may configure a common pathloss reference signal for the SDM streams of the same panel for the UE. This may include sending a list of possible pathloss reference signal configurations to the UE, and then identifying which configuration to use for the pathloss reference signal for the group of SDM streams. Once known, the UE may measure the reference signal for open loop power control. The BS may occasionally reconfigure the common reference signal for the grouped SDM streams.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein for facilitating spatial misalignment tracking for OAM beams in millimeter wave and higher frequency bands. An example method for wireless communication at a first communication device includes receiving, from a second communication device, a first misalignment tracking RS and a second misalignment tracking RS for an OAM transmission. The example method also includes determining a misalignment based on the first misalignment tracking RS, the second misalignment tracking RS, and using a subset of antenna elements of an antenna array of the first communication device. Additionally, the example method includes adjusting reception of a subsequent OAM transmission from the second communication device at the antenna array of the first communication device.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a receiving device to receive high frequency signals with a simpler receiver to reduce the overall complexity and cost associated with the receiver. In one aspect, an apparatus receives a reference signal from a second wireless device. The apparatus measures amplitude and phase of the reference signal relative to a set point. The apparatus transmits channel flattening information in a precoding feedback to the second wireless device, the precoding feedback including at least a difference between the amplitude of the reference signal and the set point for a sub-band.

The BS may obtain a second planned transmit beam configuration of a second BS. The BS may determine that a first planned transmit beam of the first planned transmit beam configuration will interfere with a second planned transmit beam of the second planned transmit beam configuration. The BS may modify the first planned transmit beam, the second planned transmit beam, or both, based on the interference determination.
