Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the downlink scrambling sequence initialization code associated with the first TRP. A BS may determine a configuration of one or more beams for a UE to monitor for receiving a downlink control channel from the BS, wherein the configuration is based, at least in part, on a monitoring window since the subframe in which the downlink control channel (e.g., PDCCH), indicates an initial UL, DL, or SL use data transmission for the UE. The BS may transmit, to the UE, an indication of the configuration. A UE may perform corresponding operations and may monitor one or more beams based on the received configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for signaling and using one or more virtual cell identifications (V-cell IDs) for single frequency network (SFN)-type of transmissions in wireless communications systems. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the method may include performing, by a user equipment (UE), a cell search to obtain a cell ID, and decoding, by the UE, a message based on the cell ID, wherein the message includes a master information block (MIB). The method may further include identifying, by the UE, a virtual cell ID used for SFN-type transmissions based on information decoded from the message. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.

In some aspects, a UE may measure a first reference signal, associated with a frequency band of a long term evolution (LTE) system, and a second reference signal associated with a frequency band of a new radio (NR) system. The frequency band of the NR system may overlap the frequency band of the LTE system. The UE may determine first channel state feedback, associated with the frequency band of the LTE system, and second channel state feedback, associated with the frequency band of the NR system, based at least in part on the first reference signal and the second reference signal, respectively. The UE may report the first channel state feedback or the second channel state feedback in uplink control information (UCI). Other aspects are provided.
