Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the downlink scrambling sequence initialization code associated with the first TRP. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, to semi-persistent configuration of reference signals (RSs), such as measurement reference signals (MRSs) for beam refinement. An example method generally includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), a reference symbol (RS) configuration, wherein transmitting the RS configuration is independent of activating RS training for the UE, transmitting, to the UE, a message indicating an activation of RS training subsequent to transmitting the RS configuration, transmitting RSs to the UE periodically based on the RS configuration, and receiving, from the UE, measurement reports based on the transmitted RS.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station (BS) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) for a beam sweeping procedure, at least one downlink control channel associated with at least one beam. The BS may receive, based at least in part on transmitting the at least one downlink control channel, feedback information relating to the at least one downlink control channel. The UE may receive at least one downlink control channel associated with at least one beam. The UE may transmit feedback information relating to the at least one downlink control channel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a device may determine a shared demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for a plurality of resource blocks of a channel, wherein a frequency domain associated with the plurality of resource blocks overlaps for a control resource of the channel and a data resource of the channel, and wherein the plurality of resource blocks are associated with a shared precoding scheme. The device may transmit a DMRS based at least in part on determining the shared DMRS configuration to enable a receiver to receive the plurality of resource blocks of the channel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for signaling and using one or more virtual cell identifications (V-cell IDs) for single frequency network (SFN)-type of transmissions in wireless communications systems. A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In an aspect, the method may include performing, by a user equipment (UE), a cell search to obtain a cell ID, and decoding, by the UE, a message based on the cell ID, wherein the message includes a master information block (MIB). The method may further include identifying, by the UE, a virtual cell ID used for SFN-type transmissions based on information decoded from the message. The techniques described herein may apply to different communications technologies, including 5th Generation (5G) New Radio (NR) communications technology.
