The integrated communications network may implement a location-aware network communications system that may allow a payment processor to obtain additional information about a consumer using a location-aware header of a network communication.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for automatic classification of images of internal structures of human and animal bodies. A method includes receiving a magnetic resonance (MR) image testing model and determining a testing volume of the testing model that includes areas of the testing model to be classified as bone or cartilage. The method includes modifying the testing model so that the testing volume corresponds to a mean shape and a shape variation space of an active shape model and producing an initial classification of the testing volume by fitting the testing volume to the mean shape and the shape variation space. The method includes producing a refined classification of the testing volume into bone areas and cartilage areas by refining the boundaries of the testing volume with respect to the active shape model and segmenting the MR image testing model into different areas corresponding to bone areas and cartilage areas.

A method for controlling battery replacement based on distance data and a system thereof are provided. The method includes: reading current distance data of an electric vehicle, wherein the current distance data indicates the total distance that the electric vehicle has traveled; receiving related recharge information for the electric vehicle submitted by a user, wherein the related recharge information includes a distance account, and the distance account indicates that the user currently adopts a billing policy in which the user is credited with a fixed amount of distance in a fixed period of time; and determining whether to perform an operation of replacing a battery of the electric vehicle according to the distance data and the billing policy. By using the present invention, distance data of an electric vehicle and distance account information can be obtained, and by using the distance data and the distance account information battery replacement can be controlled conveniently, which ensures continuous electricity provided for the green operation of the electric vehicle.

A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for improving performance and scalability of common information model object (CIMOM) by using a hardware management console (HMC) repository. The HMC repository includes storage of HMC objects, an HMC object model and a common interface (CIM Wrapper) for accessing to HMC objects. The HMC object model allows the user to store and retrieve the CIM objects and their associations efficiently. A CIM provider may access HMC objects through a common interface (CIM Wrapper), so that different repositories are allowed to be used without significant changes to the underlying server code (CIM provider). A CIM provider may also call the HMC repository directly for more efficient operations because the number of times conversions made between the CIM object and the repository object are greatly decreased.
Abstract:
Techniques for end-to-end tracing of database operations in source code for database applications are provided. Source code on the client side is instrumented to measure time spent on selected database operation statements (e.g., queries). The selected database operation statements can be uniquely tagged or identified. Tracing is enabled on the database application on the server side so that a log is produced, where the log includes performance (e.g., time spent) information on database operation statements that are executed. The performance information in the log is correlated to the selected database operation statements so that, among other things, the time spent on the client side and the time spent on the server side can be presented for analysis.

A method, apparatus and computer instructions are disclosed for seamlessly transporting a language-independent message (e.g., embedded NLS emblems) encoded from a source code at a layer below a management framework, through the management framework, and on to a client layer for consumption by a user. Consequently, for example, the process of displaying an error condition message to a client can be decoupled completely from the point where the error occurred, but the details and context of the error can still be preserved. As such, a generic solution is disclosed that is independent of the NLS language and locale and particular management framework involved. Advantageously, for example, a system programmer can write a significant amount of a system's messaging code independently of the management framework involved.

One embodiment of the invention is directed to a computer-implemented method comprising, receiving registration information for one or more application programming interfaces (APIs) at a registrar computer system associated with a federated network of computing devices. The method further comprises generating a unique address for each API included in the registration information. The method further comprises generating a token confirming the registration of the APIs where the token identifies a trust relationship within the federated network of computing devices. The method further comprises receiving a request for the token from another registrar computer system that includes a canonical address for a particular API of the one or more APIs. The method further comprises providing the token to establish a secure connection with the federated network of computing devices.
Abstract:
A method of evaluating and diagnosing performance of an operating wireless sensor network without disturbing or burdening the network is disclosed. The operating wireless sensor network includes a plurality of operational nodes. A system, which comprises a plurality of detecting nodes and a performance evaluation and diagnosis platform, is provided in order to implement the present method. After time synchronization, the detecting node is connected with an operational node. After the detecting node estimates MAC or network layer address of its corresponding operational node, it will capture any transmission of or around the operational node, and upload captured packets to the evaluation and diagnosis platform. The evaluation and diagnosis platform produce a report by analyzing the acquired information from all detecting nodes.
