摘要: In a mobile device, the strings that make up a current thread in application are stored in a buffer. A thread is a series of communications sent between a user of the mobile device and one or more other users, such as a series of text messages or a series of emails. When the user enters text to continue the current thread, characters of the entered text are compared against the strings stored in the buffer, and strings that have the entered text as a prefix are selected and displayed to the user as string predictions in a soft input panel. Alternatively, the strings in the buffer may be used to increase the probabilities of matching strings in a dictionary or model that is used to select string predictions.

摘要: An information processing device capable of communicating with a plurality of servers installed within a facility and method are provided. A storage unit stores server information including an installation position and a temperature of each of the servers within the facility. A detection unit detects a group of not-yet-powered-on servers from the plurality of servers. A calculation unit calculates an index value indicating a correlation of heat generation amounts between the not-yet-powered-on server and powered-on servers, based on the server information stored in the storage unit for each detected not-yet-powered-on server. A decision unit decides a server which becomes a power-on target, from the group of the not-yet-powered-on servers, based on the calculated index value of each not-yet-powered-on server. An output unit outputs a decision result which has been decided.

摘要: This job allocation method for allocating jobs to each computer that processes the job without intensively managing a load state of each computer includes: identifying computers having a configuration necessary for a processing of a generated job by using a profile management data storage storing data of a configuration of each computer; identifying a job allocation mode according to a current job generation state by using an allocation mode data storage storing data concerning an allocation mode of computers to the jobs in association with the job generation state; transmitting a job generation notification to at least one of the identified computers according to the identified job allocation mode; and when a job acquisition refusal notification is received in response to the job generation notification, resending a job generation notification to a computer having a configuration necessary for the generated job. Thus, by sending the job generation notification, not a job allocation notification, without intensively managing the load state of each computer, which processes the jobs, it is possible to reduce the processing load of a master computer.

摘要: Embodiments provide context-aware inclusion of emoticon item sets in applications and/or services. The emoticon item sets include a plurality of emoticon images or other emoticons. A computing device creates custom emoticon item sets for each of the applications. Based on a determined execution context, the computing device selects the emoticon item set and presents the selected emoticon item set for use within the execution context by a user of the computing device.

摘要: A physical machine executes a job on a virtual machine operated on the physical machine. A management apparatus manages execution of the job and a state of a computation resource of the physical machine. The management apparatus has a job execution request inputting unit for inputting or re-inputting into the physical machine a request for execution of the job without using an OS (Operating System) of the physical machine. The physical machine has a job inputting unit for inputting or re-inputting into the virtual machine the job in response to the request for execution of the job input or re-input into the physical machine by the job execution request inputting unit.

摘要: A procedure includes: receiving a request to monitor a target monitored item of the computer from a first information processing apparatus; inquiring the first information processing apparatus for a first monitoring condition; and determining a second information processing apparatus by referring to monitoring information. The monitoring information includes information indicating a specific monitored item and a monitoring condition for monitoring the specific monitored item in association with an identifier for identifying an information processing apparatus. The procedure further includes: instructing one of the first and second information processing apparatuses to monitor the target monitored item of the computer in accordance with the first monitoring condition for monitoring the target monitored item by the other one of the first and second information processing apparatuses; and instructing the other one of the first and second information processing apparatuses not to transmit a request to monitor the target monitored item.
