    Abstract: A method for operating a braking device of a vehicle, including a main braking system, and a backup braking system. The braking device includes a main braking system control unit, and a backup braking system control unit. The method includes detecting an error of a brake function of the braking system, locating the error inside the braking device, classifying the error with regard to the corresponding brake function and the braking system, and transferring a brake function detected as erroneous for the main braking system to the backup braking system in the event that the error concerns solely the main braking system, so that the brake function may still be carried out with the aid of the backup braking system.

    Abstract: A method for operating a brake system of a vehicle, in particular, of a motor vehicle. The brake system includes at least one electric actuator, in particular, a brake booster, which may be driven to generate a braking force, the actuator being controllable by an autonomous driving system, and as a function of manipulation of a brake pedal of the vehicle; and an emergency braking action being initiated, when the actuator is driven both by the autonomous driving system and by manipulation of a brake pedal. The control by the autonomous driving system is superimposed with a varying validation signal, a differential travel between an actuator element of the actuator and the brake pedal is monitored, and the driving of the actuator via manipulation of the brake pedal during the control by the autonomous driving system is detected, if the differential travel varies.

    Abstract: The method relates to a method for boosting the braking force in an electromotor operated slip-controllable vehicle brake system having electromechanical brake boosting. The vehicle brake system includes a braking-intention detection device, an electromechanically actuatable brake booster, and an electronically actuatable brake-pressure control device. In the event of a malfunction of the brake booster, the boosting of the brake pressure is alternatively assumed by the brake-pressure control device. In the event of a malfunction of the brake boosting, it is checked whether a generation and a transmission of a trigger signal representing the actuation of the braking-intention detection device from the first electronic control device of the brake booster to a second electronic control device of the brake-pressure control device is possible, and if this is so, the trigger signal is transmitted via an existing communications link between the control devices.

    Abstract: A method for ascertaining an available fluid volume in a tank for brake fluid of a braking system. The braking system includes a pressure generator fluidically connected to the tank on the one hand and to at least one brake circuit on the other hand, which is activatable for generating a hydraulic pressure in the braking system as brake fluid is withdrawn from the tank. A drop below a predefined limiting value for a fill level of the brake fluid in the tank is monitored with the aid of a binary sensor assigned to the tank. It is provided that an actuation of the pressure generator is monitored and that the available fluid volume is ascertained as a function of the actuation of the pressure generator when the instantaneous fill level drops below the limiting value.

    Abstract: A brake system for a motor vehicle. The brake system includes an actuating apparatus including a brake pedal for detecting an actuation value specified by a driver of the motor vehicle, at least one wheel brake assigned to a wheel of the motor vehicle, and at least one controllable actuator apparatus using which a braking force of the wheel brake can be adjusted. The actuator apparatus is coupled to the actuating apparatus via at least one signal connection in order to adjust the braking force in accordance with an actuation value of the actuating apparatus. It is provided that the signal connection is designed to transmit the actuation value from the actuating apparatus to the actuator apparatus in encrypted form. A method for operating a brake system is also described.
