    Abstract: An electronic brake system is disclosed. The electronic brake system includes a pedal operation part connected to a brake pedal so as to provide better pedal feel to a driver of a vehicle; a first hydraulic circuit which includes two wheel brakes, a first hydraulic pressure supply part generating hydraulic pressure, and a plurality of valves, and is hydraulically connected to the pedal operation part; a second hydraulic circuit which includes the other two wheel brakes, a second hydraulic pressure supply part generating hydraulic pressure, and a plurality of valves, and is hydraulically connected to the pedal operation part; a first electric circuit configured to control the first hydraulic circuit; a second electric circuit configured to control the second hydraulic circuit; and a power-supply source configured to supply power to the first electric circuit and the second electric circuit. The first electric circuit and the second electric circuit are operated independently of each other.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a friction member and a master cylinder including the same. The master cylinder includes a cylinder body with a bore formed therein, a piston configured to move forward and backward in the bore and protrude a portion thereof from the cylinder body, a housing configured to surround the protruding portion of the piston and having a through hole formed therein such that an input rod connected to a brake pedal to press the piston is inserted, a friction member provided between the housing and the piston to increase a frictional force with the piston when the piston moves forward and backward, and a pedal simulator connected to the piston to provide a repulsive force to the brake pedal.

    Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a switching valve switchable between a first state allowing communication between a first fluid pressure generating device and a frictional brake and a second state allowing communication between a second fluid pressure generating device and the frictional brake. The second fluid pressure generating device generates a fluid pressure by moving a piston with an electric actuator, and has a fluid pressure supply port connected to the switching valve and an atmosphere opening port connected to a reservoir tank. When, due to a failure, the switching valve becomes a third state in which the switching valve makes each of the first fluid pressure generating device and the second fluid pressure generating device communicate with the frictional brake, a control device controls the second fluid pressure generating device to close the atmosphere opening port with the piston.

    Abstract: The present disclosure in some embodiments provides a vehicle braking apparatus including wheel brakes for providing a braking force to one or more front and rear wheels, a first actuator including a first hydraulic circuit supplying braking force to at least some of wheel brakes, a first master cylinder adjusting hydraulic pressure of the first hydraulic circuit, and a first motor, a second actuator including a second hydraulic circuit supplying a braking force to at least a remainder of the wheel brakes, a second master cylinder adjusting hydraulic pressure of the second hydraulic circuit, and a second motor, an EPB generating a braking force on rear wheels, a regenerative braking system generating a regenerative braking force, and an ECU for controlling at least one of the first actuator, second actuator, electronic parking brake, or regenerative braking system upon determining whether the first actuator and the second actuator malfunction.

    Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a first fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure according to a brake operating amount, a second fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure by moving a piston with an electric actuator, and a switching valve switchable between a first state allowing communication between the first fluid pressure generating device and a vehicle behavior stabilizing device and a second state allowing communication between the second fluid pressure generating device and the vehicle behavior stabilizing device. A control device places the switching valve in the second state during execution of automatic brake control, and places the switching valve in the first state when a predetermined abnormality occurs in the vehicle, except that the control device places the switching valve in the second state when an abnormality including inability of the second fluid pressure generating device to generate the fluid pressure occurs.
