Abstract: An electronic brake system is disclosed. The electronic brake system includes a pedal operation part connected to a brake pedal so as to provide better pedal feel to a driver of a vehicle; a first hydraulic circuit which includes two wheel brakes, a first hydraulic pressure supply part generating hydraulic pressure, and a plurality of valves, and is hydraulically connected to the pedal operation part; a second hydraulic circuit which includes the other two wheel brakes, a second hydraulic pressure supply part generating hydraulic pressure, and a plurality of valves, and is hydraulically connected to the pedal operation part; a first electric circuit configured to control the first hydraulic circuit; a second electric circuit configured to control the second hydraulic circuit; and a power-supply source configured to supply power to the first electric circuit and the second electric circuit. The first electric circuit and the second electric circuit are operated independently of each other.

Abstract: A hydraulic brake system for a vehicle, including: a wheel brake device configured to generate a braking force based on a pressure of a working fluid; a first brake system including a high-pressure source device including an accumulator and a first pump device that is driven intermittently such that a pressure of the working fluid in the accumulator is not lower than a set lower limit pressure and not higher than a set upper limit pressure; a second brake system including a second pump device; and a main power source that supplies electricity to the first and second brake systems, wherein the hydraulic brake system includes an auxiliary power source that supplies electricity to the first brake system when a failure occurs in the main power source, and wherein the first pump device is continuously driven when the failure occurs irrespective of the pressure in the accumulator.

Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a switching valve switchable between a first state allowing communication between a first fluid pressure generating device and a frictional brake and a second state allowing communication between a second fluid pressure generating device and the frictional brake. The second fluid pressure generating device generates a fluid pressure by moving a piston with an electric actuator, and has a fluid pressure supply port connected to the switching valve and an atmosphere opening port connected to a reservoir tank. When, due to a failure, the switching valve becomes a third state in which the switching valve makes each of the first fluid pressure generating device and the second fluid pressure generating device communicate with the frictional brake, a control device controls the second fluid pressure generating device to close the atmosphere opening port with the piston.

Abstract: A vehicle brake system includes a first fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure according to a brake operating amount, a second fluid pressure generating device for generating a fluid pressure by moving a piston with an electric actuator, and a switching valve switchable between a first state allowing communication between the first fluid pressure generating device and a vehicle behavior stabilizing device and a second state allowing communication between the second fluid pressure generating device and the vehicle behavior stabilizing device. A control device places the switching valve in the second state during execution of automatic brake control, and places the switching valve in the first state when a predetermined abnormality occurs in the vehicle, except that the control device places the switching valve in the second state when an abnormality including inability of the second fluid pressure generating device to generate the fluid pressure occurs.
