    摘要: A method for classifying objects in the surroundings of a vehicle using ultrasonic sensors which emit ultrasonic pulses and receive ultrasonic echoes reflected by objects. Distances between the sensors and objects reflecting ultrasonic pulses are ascertained via at least two ultrasonic sensors including overlapping fields of vision, and a position determination of the reflecting objects taking place using lateration and the assignment of the received ultrasonic echoes to object hypotheses for distinguishing between extensive objects and point-like objects. A height classification of a point-like object represented by an object hypothesis is carried out, based on an update rate of the object hypothesis, a stability of the position of the object represented by the object hypothesis, the amplitude of the ultrasonic echoes assigned to the object hypothesis, and a likelihood of the ultrasonic sensors receiving an ultrasonic echo from the object which is represented by the object hypothesis, as classification parameters.

In each measuring cycle—an electroacoustic transducer of the ultrasonic sensor is excited using an excitation pulse, causing it to mechanically oscillate, as a result of which a measuring signal is transmitted by the transducer, an echo signal is received by the transducer, and a piece of object information is ascertained from the echo signal. The frequency curve of the excitation pulse is differentiated into two measuring cycles successively carried out at least at the end of the frequency curve. The ascertained pieces of object information from at least two measuring cycles are compared with one another and an interference is identified as a function of the result of the comparison.

In the read-in step, data packets of at least one ultrasonic sensor are read in. Excitations detected by the ultrasonic sensor within a measuring time window are mapped in a data packet. In the detection step, excitations are detected as drop events. An excitation is detected as a drop event induced by a pulse of an impacting drop if the time value and/or the intensity value of the excitation satisfies at least one characteristic of a drop event. In the determination step, a precipitation intensity is determined, using a number of drop events detected per time unit.

The method adapts the threshold value to the directional characteristic of the ultrasonic sensor predetermined according to the instantaneous properties of the vehicle part. Further aspects of the invention relate to a driver assistance system including at least one ultrasonic sensor installed in a concealed manner and a computer program product which is designed to execute the method.
