Abstract: A composite pane having electrically controllable optical properties, includes an outer pane and an inner pane that are joined to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer, wherein a functional element having electrically controllable optical properties is embedded in the intermediate layer, the functional element including an active layer between a first carrier film and a second carrier film, wherein the intermediate layer contains a first thermoplastic material and the carrier films contain a second thermoplastic material, and wherein the first carrier film and the second carrier film are fused together along at least one region of the side edge of the functional element.

Abstract: A process for manufacturing a transport vehicle laminated glazing includes placing in succession to form a stack: a first glazing, a first lamination interlayer made of polymeric material, a second lamination interlayer made of polymeric material and, in a reserve produced in the latter, a flexible OLED element or screen, which is directly extended toward one edge of the glazing by a connection element that is connected thereto and that extends out of the stack, a third lamination interlayer made of polymeric material, and a second glazing, then in subjecting the resulting assembly to a vacuum at room temperature so as to remove air from the stack, then heating the resulting assembly to a temperature of at most equal to 85° C. while continuing to subject it to a vacuum.

Abstract: A method and device for bending superposed sheets of glass. The sheets are picked up by a top form furnished with a suction creating an upward airflow blowing over the rim of the sheets, the suction being sufficient to lift and hold the superposed sheets against the top form, then the sheets are pressed between the top form and a full surface solid concave bottom form furnished with openings, the pressing beginning conducted while the suction is not yet finished or is finishing, then the superposed sheets are formed, by suction of the main face of the bottom sheet through the openings of the bottom concave mold, the forming by suction beginning while the pressing is not yet finished, and then the sheets are cooled. Windshields free of optical defects may thus be produced.
