    Abstract: A vehicle glazing includes a first pane and a second pane which are connected to one another via a thermoplastic intermediate layer which is sectionally colored, a metal-based functional layer which is deposited on an inner surface of the first pane facing the thermoplastic intermediate layer, on the inner surface of the first pane, a coating-free edge region which is free of metal-based functional layer and extends from a side edge of the first pane over at least 5 mm to at most 25 mm on the inner surface, wherein the thermoplastic intermediate layer includes a transparent region and a colored region, the colored region being arranged at least in the entire coating-free edge region.

    Abstract: A glazing assembly includes a light source for generating light which can be coupled into a first pane, an edge region which extends from a pane edge of the first pane over at least 1 mm up to at most 500 mm on one of the surfaces, and to an absorption device for absorbing light which is coupled into the first pane and is arranged in the edge region, wherein the absorption device includes a light-impermeable thermoplastic intermediate layer.

    Abstract: A vehicle window pane, includes, in this sequence, a first glass pane, one or a plurality of polymer layers, a PDLC layer, including a polymer matrix in which liquid crystal droplets are embedded, wherein an electrically conductive layer is arranged in each case on both sides of the PDLC layer, or an SPD layer, including a polymer matrix in which suspension droplets are embedded, in which light-polarizing particles are suspended, wherein an electrically conductive layer is arranged in each case on both sides of the SPD layer, one or a plurality of polymer layers, and a second glass pane, wherein, in the case of the PDLC layer, the liquid crystal droplets or, in the case of the SPD layer, the suspension droplets have an average size of more than 2 μm. The vehicle window pane can be switched between a transparent state and a turbid or opaque state.
