    Abstract: A spacer for insulated glass units includes a main body co-extruded from first and second plastics, the second plastic having lower thermal conductivity and higher flexibility than the first plastic. The main body includes first and second side walls arranged parallel to each other, a glazing interior wall connecting to the side walls, an outer wall, which is arranged substantially parallel to the glazing interior wall and connects the side walls to one another directly or via connecting walls, and a cavity, which is enclosed by the side walls, the glazing interior wall, and the outer wall or by the side walls, the glazing interior wall, the outer wall, and the connecting walls. The main body is designed as a hollow profile formed from the second plastic, in which hollow profile the first plastic is arranged, at least in some regions, on the inside directly adjacent the hollow profile.

    Abstract: An insulating glazing includes a first a second pane, a circumferential spacer between the first and second pane that is fixedly connected to the first and second pane in a water-vapor-tight manner in each case, which spacer has two parallel pane contact walls, an outer wall, and a glazing interior wall and an interior, and a water-tight sealant strip running around the outer wall between the first and second pane. A pressure-equalizing element is inserted into the sealant strip and the spacer, which pressure-equalizing element is open to the surrounding atmosphere and to the interior of the spacer or to the glazing interior between the first and the second pane and is implemented such that it provides a gas connection having a pressure-equalizing function between the atmosphere and the interior of the spacer or the glazing interior which gas connection is temporally limited due to aging and/or atmospheric influences.

    Abstract: A spacer includes a polymeric hollow profile, including a first and second side wall, a glazing interior wall connecting the side walls to one another; an outer wall arranged parallel to the glazing interior wall and connects the side walls to one another; a cavity surrounded by the side walls, the glazing interior wall, and the outer wall, a moisture barrier on the first side wall, the outer wall, and the second side wall, wherein the moisture barrier includes a multi-layer system having a barrier function including a polymeric layer and an inorganic barrier layer, a metallic or ceramic outer adhesive layer having a thickness of less than 100 nm, a binding layer between the adhesive layer and the multi-layer system and including a polymer selected from oriented propylene, oriented polyethylene terephthalate, biaxially oriented propylene, and biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate. The binding layer is directly adjacent the adhesive layer.
