Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for connecting a service, according to a user's intention are provided. The method includes determining at least one file to be transmitted through a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Direct connection, selecting, by device discovery, a peer terminal to receive the at least one file, transmitting, to the peer terminal, a first frame including file attribute information about the at least one file, before the Wi-Fi Direct connection is established with the peer terminal, and receiving, from the peer terminal, a second frame, including information indicating whether the Wi-Fi Direct connection to the peer terminal is accepted or rejected.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a location information service using a mobile code in a Mobile Station (MS) are provided. The method includes obtaining a mobile code scanned by an input device of the MS; acquiring location information if the location information is included in the obtained mobile code; matching coordinates of the acquired location information on a first cyber map in the MS if cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is included in the first cyber map in the MS; and if the cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is not included in the first cyber map in the MS, updating the first cyber map with cyber map information corresponding to coordinates of corresponding location information obtained from a second cyber map in a server and matching the acquired location information on the updated first cyber map.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and system for transmitting media to a receiving PoC user without filtering according to importance indication information of a PoC user trying to transmit the media in a PoC system. If media transmitted by the PoC user is important, in order to inform the receiving PoC user of this, the PoC user transmits an MBCP Request message containing importance indication information to a PoC server, and the PoC server, which has received the MBCP Request message, transmits an MBCP Taken message containing importance indication information to the receiving PoC user. If media corresponding to an important message is filtered since media of a primary or locking-in session among a plurality of sessions or other media is being transmitted, the PoC server temporarily stores the media in a local memory or a PoC box and transmits the stored media after the preceding media is completely transmitted.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for discovering a device for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) communication by a first device in a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) communication system. when receiving a discovery information request from a new device, the first device determines whether there is a second device that cannot be newly connected, among currently connected devices. If there is the second device, the first device generates a discovery information response based on the second device, and sends the discovery information response to the new device.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for transmitting data on a wireless connection is provided. The method includes selecting a device to receive data; transmitting, to the device, a first signal including attribute information about the data, before an establishment of a wireless connection with the device is completed; receiving, from the device, a second signal indicating whether the transmission of the data is accepted by the device; and establishing the wireless connection with the device to transmit the data through the wireless connection, in response to reception of the second signal indicating the transmission of the data is accepted.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for performing interworking between different messaging services in a Converged Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service. The method includes receiving, by a CPM server, a message generated based on a user input from an arbitrary terminal; requesting, by the CPM server, a presence server to provide presence information corresponding to a recipient of the message; receiving, from the presence server, the presence information that is transmitted in response to the request; deciding a type of a messaging service for interworking based on the presence information; and delivering, by the CPM server, the message to an Interworking Function (IWF) that converts the message according to the decided type of the messaging service.
