    Abstract: A receiver circuitry configured to receive, from infrastructure equipment of the wireless telecommunications network, a signal comprising positioning information for allowing a spatial position of the terminal device to be determined using the positioning information and a predetermined positioning scheme associated with the positioning information, the positioning scheme comprising one or more of instructions and additional information for determining the position of the terminal device using the positioning information, wherein the positioning information is comprised within a system information block (SIB) of the received signal; and processing circuitry configured: to determine, based on a characteristic of the SIB, a temporal validity of the received positioning information, and to determine, at a time at which the received positioning information is temporally valid, the spatial position of the terminal device using the received positioning information and the predetermined positioning scheme.

    Abstract: A method of communicating data in a telecommunications system comprising a base station and a plurality of terminals operable to communicate data to and from the base station. The system is configured to transmit downlink signals using downlink resources in a frequency band and in a first time period and the method comprises, upon identification of uplink data to be transmitted by a first terminal of the plurality of terminals, dynamically selecting a set of resources for transmitting the uplink data, wherein selecting the set of resources comprises selecting a subset of the frequency band and a subset of the time period of the downlink resources, the selected set of resources being based on the subset of the frequency band and the subset of the time period.

    Abstract: A method of operating a terminal device to receive user plane data from a network infrastructure equipment in a wireless telecommunications network when the terminal device is not in an active radio resource connected mode, the method comprising: receiving paging message signalling from the network infrastructure equipment, wherein the paging message signalling comprises an indication the network infrastructure equipment has user plane data for transmission to the terminal device while the terminal device is not in an active radio resource connected mode; determining from the paging message signalling a set of radio resources on which the user plane data is to be transmitted by the network infrastructure equipment to the terminal device; and receiving the user plane data from the network infrastructure equipment using the determined set of radio resources while the terminal device is not in an active radio resource connected mode.

    Abstract: A method comprising receiving a handover request message indicating a request for handover of a wireless communications device from a source infrastructure equipment to a target infrastructure equipment, receiving an indication from the source infrastructure equipment as to whether or not user plane data is being transmitted to or received from the wireless access network via the source infrastructure equipment using an integrity protection scheme, determining whether or not the integrity protection scheme for the user plane data is supported by the target infrastructure equipment, transmitting a handover command to the source infrastructure equipment to indicate to the source infrastructure equipment that the source infrastructure equipment should handover the wireless communications device to indicate to the source infrastructure equipment, and providing an indication as to whether or not the integrity protection scheme can be used for transmitting or receiving user plane data via the target infrastructure equipment.
