    Abstract: A method for controlling video coding includes: obtaining an image frame from a video stream, wherein the image frame is associated with a coding control model; encoding the image frame using a quantization parameter (QP) calculated based on the coding control mode; determining whether a scene has changed significantly based on an analysis of the encoded image frame; in response to the scene having changed significantly, initializing parameters for the coding control model; and in response to no significant scene change, updating the parameters for the coding control model.

The one or more coding parameters are determined based on the target rate and a rate control model associated with one or more model parameters.     Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle comprises a body coupled with a plurality of propulsion systems and an imaging device; an encoder that encodes video data generated by the imaging device, and a wireless communication system for transmitting the encoded video data. The encoder includes a region of interest (ROI) control module that determines, within an image frame of the video data, a first region and a second region, the ROI control module further setting a first limit indicating a maximum value of quantization parameters for encoding each macroblock within the first region, a second limit indicating a maximum size of the first region, and a third limit indicating a minimum size of the second region. The encoder further includes a ROI monitoring module coupled to the ROI control module that estimates a first image quality of the first region and a second image quality of a second region, and the ROI control module adjusts a size of the first region and the second region according to the first image quality and the second image quality. The present application also relates to an encoding method as embodied in the encoder.

    Abstract: An image processing method includes sending, by a receiving terminal to a transmitting terminal according to a feedback time interval, a feedback message indicating a reception state of a received image frame sent by the transmitting terminal and received by the receiving terminal before the feedback message is sent; upon detecting a reception error of a target image frame before a first time point, sending a first feedback message indicating the reception error to the transmitting terminal at the first time point; and upon receiving, after the first time point and before a second time point, encoded data of the target image frame obtained according to an error correction mechanism from the transmitting terminal, sending a second feedback message indicating a correct reception to the transmitting terminal at the second time point. A time period between the first and second time points equals the feedback time interval.

    Abstract: An image encoding control method and device, a storage medium, and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a frame of image data from an image sequence; encoding the image data for a first time, and obtaining first encoding quality of the image data after the first time encoding; and iteratively encoding the image data based on the first encoding quality and preset target encoding quality. Thus, a frame of image data in an image sequence is obtained and then encoded for the first time, first encoding quality is obtained, and encoding the image data is further controlled based on the first encoding quality and target encoding quality. This effectively solving the problem of a waste of bit rate resources or a shortage of bit rate resources, ensuring encoding quality of images, and meeting requirements of users. Further, the practicability of the method is improved.
