    摘要: Methods and apparatus for replacing an old wire threaded through a flyer winder with a new wire are provided. A first end of the old wire is connected to a first end of the new wire. The wires may be connected by twining, clamping, welding or the like. A second end of the old wire that extends from one of the winder's flyers is then connected to a collection device, and the old wire is collected until the new wire has been threaded through the flyer winder along the same path traveled by the old wire. The collection device may be an armature or similar structure having recesses for collecting the old wire during wire change-over or replacement. Preferably the collection device is configured so that conventional coil lead connection operations may be used to expedite wire change-over or replacement.

    摘要: An improved conveying system in a parallel processing production line for dynamo-electric machine components having a magnetic core, the conveying system having a main conveyor extending along all of the processing machines of the production line and a load/unload device for transferring components between the main conveyor and a selected processing machine. Components to be processed are loaded directly from the main conveyor onto the load/unload device without the use of an intermediate conveyor. The load/unload device has a base platform with an alignment area at which transfer between the load/unload device and either the main conveyor or a selected processing machine occurs. Two component holders (e.g., collets) are movably mounted on the base platform for alternate positioning at the alignment area. The load/unload device alternately positions the gripping ends of the component holders adjacent the main conveyor and a selected processing machine. The central axis of the load/unload device remains fixed during movement of the load/unload device.

    摘要: The present invention concerns solutions for disposing the wire leads of a wire coil along trajectories that have predetermined positional references relative to the dynamo-electric machine component. The present invention proposes to provide a wire lead manipulator that operates to dispose the wire lead by entering within extremely narrow gaps on a dynamo-electric machine component at high speed and with a lower risk of the wire lead manipulator colliding with the accessory parts of the component. Using the solutions of this invention, these achievements are possible for dynamo-electric machine components with very small spaces between accessory components that do not allow the passage of conventional wire lead manipulator apparatus.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for replacing an old wire threaded through a flyer winder with a new wire are provided. A first end of the old wire is connected to a first end of the new wire. The wires may be connected by twining, clamping, welding or the like. The invention includes a loading/unloading unit and a holding unit that may be operated independently under most circumstances. The independent operation enables the winders of the present invention to operate at increased duty cycles, thereby increasing throughput. Additionally, the apparatus of the present invention increases the likelihood that armatures remain properly indexed during the loading transfer process to further increase system efficiency.

The rotation axis (25′) is inclined with an angle that is not at 90° with respect to the dispensing member. In particular the rotation axis (25′) is inclined by an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the dispensing member (20) and the rotation axis (25′) intersects the exit of the conductor during the rotation.

    摘要: A method for terminating and winding coils of a core (20) of a dynamo electric machine. The coils being formed from at least an electric wire (W) and the core (20) having a longitudinal axis (20′). The coils (19) are wound by relatively moving a wire dispenser (21) with respect to a core with relative motions of translation and rotation; at least a stretch of wire extends from the coil and the stretch of wire is provided with a portion (W4) for a termination connection to a termination structure (22) of the core (20) such as a tang. The method avoids waste cut wire in the apparatus. The core is provided with a groove (120) at an end to receive at least a wire in the path of the wire for the termination of the coils. The apparatus comprises a wire deflector positioned adjacent the end of the core, where the groove (120) is located, in order to intercept and align the wire with the groove (120). The apparatus can comprise a device for applying torques in two directions on a pulley wheel for feeding wire as a function of the position of the dispenser in the translation and the position of the core in the rotations.
