摘要: A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept includes: a first insulation substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on the first insulation substrate; a pixel electrode coupled to the thin film transistor; a second insulation substrate facing the first insulation substrate; and a common electrode disposed on the second insulation substrate. The pixel electrode includes a first subpixel electrode including a first vertical stem portion and a first horizontal stem portion that is disposed perpendicular to the first vertical stem portion at an end of the first vertical stem portion, and a second subpixel electrode including a second vertical stem portion and a second horizontal stem portion that is disposed perpendicular to the second vertical stem portion at an end of the second vertical step portion.

摘要: A display substrate is disclosed. In one aspect, the display substrate includes a base substrate having a first refractive index and receiving external light and an insulating layer disposed below the base substrate and having a second refractive index different from the first refractive index. The display substrate also includes a pixel electrode disposed below the first insulating layer and a first compensation layer forming an interface with the insulating layer and having a third refractive index greater than the first refractive index and less than the second refractive index. The first compensation layer is disposed between the first insulating layer and the base substrate.

摘要: A display device includes a first supporting member disposed in the first pad area of the first base substrate and spaced apart from the sealing member to define a predetermined space. A second supporting member is filled in the predetermined space by filling and curing liquid material. This protects the display panel from harsh ambience, such as light, heat and moistures, reducing the sealing and black matrix area. Such improvement can decrease the bezel size, effectively increasing viewable area of the display, which becomes more important in the mobile device.

摘要: A display device includes a transistor, a data line, a pixel electrode, a common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer. The data line is connected to a source electrode of the transistor. A geometric radius of curvature associated with the display device is perpendicular to the data line. The pixel electrode is connected to a drain electrode of the transistor and includes a plate electrode. Sides of the plate electrode are oriented at acute angles with respect to the data line in a plan view associated with the display device. The common electrode overlaps the pixel electrode and has a slit. The slit has a first edge and a second edge. The first edge is perpendicular to the data line in the plan view and is longer than the second edge. The liquid crystal layer is positioned between the pixel electrode and the common electrode.
