Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel including a pixel to display an image based on input image data, a driving controller which determines a driving frequency of a first display area of the display panel to be a first driving frequency and determines a driving frequency of a second display area of the display panel to be a second driving frequency less than the first driving frequency when the first display area displays a moving image and the second display area of the display panel displays a still image, and an emission driver which outputs a moving image emission signal corresponding to the first driving frequency and a still image emission signal corresponding to the second driving frequency to the display panel. A width of a non-emission period of the still image emission signal is greater than a width of a non-emission period of the moving image emission signal.

The power supply unit is configured to provide a first initialization voltage and a second initialization voltage to the display panel. The voltage adjustment signal provider is configured to provide an adjustment signal to the power supply unit for applying an adjustment voltage to the second initialization voltage when the second display area is driven at a frequency lower than at least one of a predetermined frequency and a driving frequency of the first area. The data adjustment signal provider is configured to provide a data adjustment signal for adjusting gray levels of some pixels included in the first display area when the adjustment voltage is applied to the second initialization voltage.
