    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing a network slice in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes transmitting a first message requesting registration of a user equipment (UE) to a first network entity via a base station (BS), receiving a second message including information indicating that the registration of the UE is accepted from the first network entity via the BS in response to the transmission of the first message, wherein the second message further includes information indicating an allowed network slice, and performing communication based on the information indicating the allowed network slice.
