The user terminal apparatus includes a display unit which displays a screen including a first area including at least one object and a second area to perform editing using the at least one object, a user interface unit which receives a user command to copy the object displayed in the first area to the second area, and a controller which, in response to the received user command, controls to automatically copy the object to a location within the second area which corresponds to an attribute of the object based on the attribute of the object.
