Abstract: Image de-skewing can include acquiring pixel coordinates of an image captured by a camera adjoining an electronic display device. The pixel coordinates can be mapped to de-skewing coordinates using a predetermined de-skewing transformer that maps the pixel coordinates to de-skewing coordinates. A de-skewed image can be generated based on the de-skewing coordinates such that the de-skewed image is perpendicular to a principal axis extending from a predetermined location of an apparent camera on the electronic display device.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and methods for touch sensing. An electronic device includes a resistive sheet that is optically transmissive, a number of electrodes electrically coupled to the resistive sheet, the electrodes disposed at an edge of the resistive sheet and spaced apart at predetermined intervals, and a processor coupled to the number of electrodes. The processor is configured to generate, at a first of the electrodes, a first drive signal, generate, at a second of the electrodes, a second drive signal, each drive signal having a different frequency, measure an output of at least one of the electrodes, and determine, based on the output, a location of a touch input on the resistive sheet.

Abstract: A display device can include a first display configured to produce an image and a plurality of transparent displays. Each of the plurality of transparent displays can be configured to produce a slice of the image to provide depth and a three-dimensional effect to the image, or at least one of the plurality of transparent displays can be configured to block, diffuse, or scatter light associated with the image produced by the first display so that different ones of a plurality of users see different content derived from the image produced by the first display. Each of the transparent displays can be substantially transparent. Further, at least one of the plurality of transparent displays can be made using Smectic A liquid crystals.

Abstract: Monitoring health status of a user may be performed by an apparatus that includes a sensor adapted to generate sensor data, a memory adapted to store a plurality of baseline biological markers for a user, wherein the plurality of baseline biological markers include respiratory rhythm, and a processor coupled to the memory and the sensor. The processor is adapted to, in response to detecting that the user is performing physical activity, determine a biological marker from the sensor data. The processor is adapted to compare the biological marker with the baseline biological marker. The processor is further adapted to, in response to detecting a change in the biological marker, provide a notification indicating a change in health status.

Abstract: Detecting chronotropic incompetence includes determining, using a processor, a baseline cardiac health measure for a user based upon an estimate of activity level for the user, validating, using the processor, the estimate of activity level for the user with a validation factor determined from sensor data and determining, using the processor, a cardiac health measure for the user from the sensor data. A signal indicating chronotropic incompetence for the user can be provided by the processor based upon a comparison of the cardiac health measure for the user with the baseline cardiac health measure.
