Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein provide a method for location management in off-network. The method includes sending, by a first UE (100A), a request including a configuration to a second UE (100B), where the configuration allows the second UE (100B) to report location information of the second UE (100B) to the first UE (100A) in off-network. The method includes storing, by the second UE (100B), the configuration and sending a response to first UE (100A), where the first UE (100A) acknowledges to the second UE (100B) upon on receiving the response from the second UE (100B). The method includes detecting, by the second UE (100B), a trigger of a location reporting event based on the configuration, and reports the location information of the second UE (100B) to the first UE (100A) in the off-network, where the first UE (100A) acknowledges to the second UE (100B) upon receiving the location information.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for managing relocating EEC context information from a source EES (108) or from an EEC (104) of a user device (102), according to embodiments as disclosed herein. The target EES (108) includes an edge enabler client (EEC) controller (210), a communicator (220), a memory (230), a processor (240), and an EAS controller (250). The EEC controller (210) is configured to maintain an EEC context information about the EEC, based on at least one of EEC registration on the source EES, the EEC requesting a subscription for an edge enabler service with the source EES, or by receiving the EEC context information from another source EES. The EEC controller (210) is further configured to detect a need to relocate the EEC context information to target EES. The EEC controller (210) is further configured to relocate the EEC context information to the target EES.

Abstract: Embodiments herein achieve systems and methods for managing communication in a Mission Critical data (MCData) communication system. The proposed method and system provides file distribution and data streaming in the MCData communication system. The proposed method and system provides a functional model and mechanisms to support mission critical data services. The functional model to support file distribution and data streaming, and associated procedures including one-to-one, one-to-many, and group data communications. Further, the proposed method and system provides mechanisms for optimizing radio resource utilization and backhaul link utilization in the MCData communication system. The proposed method and system provides radio resource utilization of the PC5 interface for the MC service, when multiple group members are under a relay node. Further, the proposed method and system can be used to reduce number of unicast transmissions between the MCData server and the MCData UEs by local routing at the relay node.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose method for handling a registration of an EEC (600) during a service continuity procedure by a Target-Edge Enabler Server (T-EES) (400). The method includes performing an implicit registration of the EEC (600) upon receiving a push EEC context request message from a Source-Edge Enabler Server (S-EES) (300). Further, the method includes creating at least one of a registration ID associated with the implicit registration and an expiration time associated with the implicit registration of the EEC (600). Further, the method includes adding at least one of the registration ID and the expiration time in a push EEC context response message. Further, the method includes sending the push EEC context response message comprising at least one of the registration ID and the expiration time to the S-EES (300).

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose methods for managing PEMC switchover in PIN by a first PEMC entity. The method includes determining to relinquish a PEMC role associated with the first PEMC entity and transfer the PEMC role to a second PEMC entity upon detecting at least one event. Further, the method includes sending a request message to the second PEMC entity to transfer the PEMC role to the second PEMC entity based on the determination. Further, the method includes receiving an accept message from the second PEMC entity to transfer the PEMC role associated with the first PEMC entity based on the request message. The proposed method provides an efficient management of the personal IoT network with better user experience.
