Abstract:
A method and a terminal for acquiring information on the media supported by an emergency center to provide the terminal with the emergency call service using non-voice media as well voice media are provided. A method includes receiving information on media supported by an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) from a server, storing the information on the media supported by the IMS, and transmitting a signal to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) based on the information on the media supported by the IMS and the terminal. The emergency call processing method of the present invention allows only the terminal capable of NOVES to perform the media information acquisition procedure, thereby avoiding overhead caused by media acquisition attempts of a large number of terminal.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting and receiving a signal in a packet data network gateway (PGW) of a mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: receiving a first request message which includes an identifier of a terminal and is associated with a packet data network connection; sending a second request message to a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) server on the basis of the received first request message; and if quality of service (QoS) related information is included in a response message received in response to the second request message from the PCRF, performing a control associated with the packet data network connection on the basis of the QoS related information. In a wireless communication system using a PMIP according to the present invention, it is possible to generate a PDN connection in accordance with the default QoS.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Methods and apparatuses provide a service to user equipment through a dedicated core network. In one method, a base station, also referred to as eNB, receives a non-access stratum (NAS) message from user equipment (UE), and transmits a first initial UE message having the NAS message to a first mobility management entity (MME). Also, the base station receives a redirection request message having the NAS message from the first MME, and transmits a second initial UE message having the NAS message to a second MME. In another method, the MME receives the first initial UE message having the NAS message from the base station, and transmits the redirection request message having the NAS message when the MME fails to support a dedicated core network according to UE usage type information. If the redirection request message is transmitted, a second initial UE message having the NAS message is transmitted to a dedicated MME.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for controlling congestion in a mobile communication system. A method for controlling congestion of a network node according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving congestion-related information from at least one base station; transmitting a user equipment information request message for making a request for information on a piece of user equipment corresponding to the base station to a mobility management entity; receiving a user equipment information response message including the information on the user equipment corresponding to the base station from the mobility management entity; and transmitting the information on the piece of user equipment corresponding to the base station to another core network node.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for configuring a function of monitoring events concerning user equipment (UE) are provided. The method of a home subscriber server (HSS) includes receiving a first request message including monitoring event information from a service capability exposure function (SCEF), setting, if the monitoring event information is set to loss of connectivity, a mobility-related timer of a terminal to a value based on a value of a maximum detection time included in the first request message, and transmitting a second request message including the monitoring event information and the set mobility-related timer of the terminal to a mobility management entity.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for selecting a domain for a voice call in a mobile communication network. A terminal, which uses VoLTE, receives, from a network, identification information indicating whether IMS Voice over PS (IMS VoPS) is supported, determines whether the network supports IMS VoPS and determines a domain (PS or CS) to which a voice service will be provided through the network according to the determination result.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for remotely installing Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) information about various Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are provided. One of the apparatuses being a terminal including an electronic card, a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal, and a controller configured to receive at least one profile from a profile management server, wherein each profile of the received at least one profile is to be installed in an electronic card of at least one device, to obtain at least one electronic card identifier of the at least one device, and to transmit, to the at least one device, the at least one profile corresponding to the obtained at least one electronic card identifier.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method by a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes transmitting first information including a public land mobile network identifier (PLMN ID) for a sponsored service, to a first server operated by a service provider, receiving, in response to the first information, second information including a token related to the sponsored service from the first server, transmitting third information requesting the sponsored service based on the token to a second server operated by a network operator corresponding to the PLMN ID, and receiving authentication information from the second server.
