Abstract: The present invention provides a motor and a washing machine including the same. The motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a hall sensor which is positioned on the upper surface of a rotor and detects the position of a magnet provided in the rotor by using the leakage magnetic flux of the magnet, and thereby can accurately detect the position of the rotor by the hall sensor.

Abstract: A motor realizes mechanical field-weakening control by controlling the leakage magnetic flux from the rotor cores of the motor.
