摘要： A method of drilling a gas or oil well consists of use of a water-based drilling fluids containing high molecular weight crosslinked polyacrylic acid as viscosifying agent. The drilling fluid may further contain a lubricant, weighting agent and/or a wetting agent as well as laponite clay. The aqueous based drilling fluid exhibits a coefficient of friction which is substantially close to the coefficient of friction of oil based drilling muds. The drilling fluid exhibits stability at well temperatures in excess of 150° C.

The network is provided at a retail-type architectural facility where space is rented to a plurality of independent retail entities. For each respective one retail entity, data pertaining to goods offered for sale by the respective one entity is loaded the database. Queries from hand-held electronic personal shopping devices pertaining to goods offered for sale by the retail entities are received via the wireless receiving components. The wireless transmitting components transmit, to the hand-held electronic personal shopping devices, data from the database responsive to respective queries.

摘要： For baby strollers, particularly umbrella strollers, a device to prevent tipping comprising a pair of rearward extension bars. Each bar is adapted to extend rearwardly over or nearly over one of the rear wheels of the stroller. Each curves downwards so as to clear the wheel over or near which it extends and then curves to present a distal end section at least approximately parallel to the surface on which the stroller sits. Each bar is provided with a clamp by which it may be attached to the stroller. The clamp is adjustable to optimize tip prevention and loosenable so that the extension may be folded transversely for storage or transport.

摘要： The disclosure is directed to an apparatus and method for generating a two-dimensional back-projected image of a slice of an object, and also to an optical filtering apparatus and method which, inter alia, is useful therein. Successive beams of light are generated, each having a narrow elongated cross-section with an optical intensity that is a function of the density characteristic of the slice of the object as measured at a particular relative rotational angle. The beams are optically filtered and spread in a direction transverse to their length. Optical filtering with a filter function having both positive and negative components is preferably performed using a single-channel time modulated technique. A television camera receives the spread filtered beams. Relative rotation is effected between the beams and the camera, the rotation being related to the relative rotational angles of the object associated with the generation of the successive beams of light. A digital frame store accumulates the intensities sensed at elemental areas of the image sensing means. The accumulated intensities comprise a two-dimensional back-projected image of the slice of the object which can then be displayed on a television display. In a further form of the disclosure, back-projected images are obtained using an optical "loop" processor which employs a single-channel time modulated filtering technique.
