    摘要: The present invention is directed to a system for current sensing including a first Hall effect sensor and a second Hall effect sensor constructed to provide feedback indicating current flow through a conductor susceptible to external magnetic flux. A housing is configured to position the first Hall effect sensor and the second Hall effect sensor about the conductor to provide generally magnitude equal feedback of the current flow through the conductor and generally polarity opposite feedback of the external magnetic flux.

    摘要: A probe assembly for use in monitoring fluid conditions in real time in a transducer utilizing impedance spectroscopy and having two closely spaced tubular concentric electrodes. The electrodes have a surface area of about 8.1 to 10.8 cm2 spaced in the range of about 0.1 to 0.55 mm. In one embodiment a concentric outer tubular Faraday shield is employed for monitoring fluid in a non-metallic vessel. The probe assembly is particularly suitable for monitoring hydraulic fluid including automatic transmission fluid and mineral based engine oil for diesel and gasoline engines.

    摘要: A current transformer device is formed on a ceramic substrate which is provided with a plurality of planar conductive tracks formed on a surface of the substrate where the conductive tracks extend substantially radially from an imaginary point on the surface of the substrate. A structure of permeable material is then tape cast or epitaxially formed by vapor deposition of a thick film of magnetic ceramic over the major portion of each of the conductive tracks to form a permeable toroidal core. A lead frame is then placed over the core and a plurality of metal conductors are soldered to each of the respective exposed ends of the metal conductive tracks on the substrate. The required electrical elements to complete the current transformer device are mounted to a second side of the ceramic substrate and electrically connected to the toroidal coil for powering and/or receiving signals therefrom.

    摘要: A well work-over drilling rig uses a single cylindrical column forming a mast for assembly and disassembly of a casing, pipe or rod forming a well string in a well bore.The mast supports a hydraulic ram for elevating a crown block having arms radially extending equal distances from the axis of the ram. Cables are supported by sheaves at the outer ends of the arms to permit equal and opposite forces (moments) to be applied to the column by the weight of pipe sections or the complete well string. The column is stabilized by racking pipe sections, including up to the full length of a well string, annularly around the column mast on a rotatable fingerboard, with substantially the full weight of pipe sections on the lower annular support. This avoids the need for lateral guy wires to stabilize the column mast.

    摘要: A pair of interval timer units including a lower right timer (LRT) and a lower left timer (LLT) for controlling a pair of D.C. motors (RM, LM) to drive a pair of load devices accurately and consistently a predetermined lowering distance. The load devices are raised together until stopped by limit switches (LS1, LS2) but can be lowered individually under the interval timer (IT) control. Each timer unit (LRT) includes a voltage regulator (ZD1, ZR1) to provide a constant voltage to a ramp voltage generator (RG) and a reference voltage to a voltage inverter (VI). The ramp voltage is applied through a buffer (IC1B) to one input of a comparator (IC1C). The variable supply voltage is also applied to the voltage inverter (VI) that provides a time reference voltage that varies inversely with respect to variation in the supply voltage. This time reference voltage is applied to the comparator (IC1C) upon closure of a "lower" switch to close a motor control switch (Q3) to start the motor time interval and when the ramp voltage rises to the level of the time reference voltage, the comparator (IC1C) opens the motor control switch (Q3) to stop the motor time interval. As a result, since the motor speed changes with change in supply voltage, the interval timer varies inversely the motor operating time for constant load driving distance.

    摘要: An electronic remote control D.C. power control and overload circuit breaker for the cockpit controlled D.C. power system of an aircraft or the like. Electronic sensing of overcurrent conditions provides better accuracy, stability and reliability and easier adjustment or adaptation to specific applications. These are attained by using a combination of a shunt resistor in the D.C. line feeding a transient suppressing input bridge and an instrumentation amplifier with common mode rejection followed by a trip time delay network, a threshold comparator and logic and relay control circuitry, as well as supply voltage regulation plus secondary regulation of the comparator reference voltage. A remote cockpit unit affords control and indication. Modifications afford bidirectional sensing of the D.C. bus overload as well as different trip time delays for the two polarities of overload currents.

    摘要: In accordance with the present invention, irrigation pipe couplings for movable irrigation systems may include a spherical coupling structure that allows articulation of sections of the irrigation pipe during operation of the irrigation system. A sealing element is provided that maintains a positive seal when the various sections of irrigation pipe of the irrigation system are static or are moving. The internal and external components of the coupling structure and the sealing element of each of the couplings cooperate in such manner that the sealing elements are easily and quickly replaceable should they become worn or damaged. It is not necessary to cause longitudinal separation of the sections of irrigation pipe to which the coupling structures are affixed in order to achieve replacement of the sealing element. A portion of the external part of the coupling structure provides support for one extremity of one of the pipe sections that are coupled, both in normal operation and during replacement of the sealing element.

For the fluid condition monitoring mode function both segments of the excitation electrode are commonly excited sequentially at high and low frequencies and the currents sensed in the sensing electrode employed to compute the difference in impedance for determining the fluid condition. For the level sensing mode function a mode switching circuit grounds one of the excitation electrode segments and excites the other then grounds the other segment and excites the one segment and the resultant currents ratioed to determine the amount of electrode immersed in fluid and hence the fluid level.
