Abstract: A periscope-type zooming camera module which requires no voice-coil unit includes a light steering device, a lens unit, a light sensing assembly, and a zooming assembly. The light steering device changes transmission direction of light. The lens unit is arranged to receive light from the light steering device; and the light sensing assembly is arranged to receive light from the lens unit. The zooming assembly merely requires different levels of voltage to zoom in and out, adjusting focal length of the lens unit.

Abstract: A lens module with enhanced absorption of stray light includes a sensor and a mounting bracket. The sensor includes a photosensitive area and a non-photosensitive area arranged surrounding the photosensitive area. The sensor is received in the mounting bracket and a window is defined in the mounting bracket. An annular flange extends from an inner wall of the window towards a center axis of the window. The annular flange includes a reflecting surface facing away from the inner wall of the window and tilted towards the sensor. The photosensitive area is exposed in a through hole of the annular flange. Diffusing reflection structures are formed on the reflecting surface and are configured to diffuse light incident on the non-photosensitive area away from the photosensitive area.

Abstract: A camera module of minimal size but with zoom function includes a zoom assembly, a base, and a fixed focus assembly. The zoom assembly and the fixed focus assembly are fixed in the base. The zoom assembly is driven by piezoelectric element instead of voice coil motor and includes an actuator and an optical unit. The actuator defines a first receiving groove holding the optical unit in place over the first through hole. When powered, the piezoelectric element changes a shape of the optical unit to change a focal length of the zoom assembly. An electronic device including such a camera module is also provided.

The first moving member and the second moving member respectively move the infrared emitting module and the second infrared receiver along the base relative to the first infrared receiver.

Abstract: A lens module with physically stronger foundations and enhanced stability includes a circuit board, an image sensor thereon, a mounting bracket, an optical filter, and a lens unit. The mounting bracket is connected to the surface of the circuit board which has the image sensor. The optical filter is connected to mounting bracket and positioned above the image sensor. The lens unit is connected to the mounting bracket facing away from the circuit board through a frame of adhesive. The surface of the lens unit connected to the mounting bracket has protrusions which are positioned at inner edges of the adhesive layer. The protrusions are taller than the depth of the adhesive layer.

Abstract: A lens module, constructed to include all necessary filters but retaining its wide-angle characteristic and short focal length, is comprised of a housing, a cover plate, and a filter switcher. The housing and the cover plate form a receiving cavity, the cavity containing the filter switcher. The filter switcher includes holder, two mounting frames, two first adhesive layers, and two filters, and is of minimal thickness. The two first adhesive layers fix the filters on the two mounting frames. An enlarged installation space within the lens module is not required. The disclosure also relates to an electronic device using the lens module.
