    Abstract: A receptacle assembly includes communication connectors secured together as a communication module each having a contact array arranged within a shroud for mating with a pluggable module. A gasket plate is coupled to the communication module between the communication module and the pluggable modules. The gasket plate has a plurality of openings receiving corresponding shrouds and pluggable module interfaces around each of the openings for interfacing with mating ends of the pluggable modules. The receptacle assembly includes a receptacle housing having a plurality of panels dividing a housing cavity into module cavities. The gasket plate is coupled to the communication module to define a connector module assembly. The connector module assembly is loaded into the housing cavity prior to mounting to the circuit board such that the connector module assembly and the receptacle housing are configured to be mounted to the circuit board as a unit.

    Abstract: Connector sub-assembly includes a plurality of signal conductors. The connector sub-assembly also includes a ground frame having ground conductors and a ground bus that interconnects the ground conductors. The ground bus has opposite first and second sides. The connector sub-assembly also includes a dielectric carrier that surrounds the ground bus and intermediate segments of the signal conductors. Mating segments of the signal conductors project from the dielectric carrier and are configured to engage corresponding contacts of a mating connector. The signal conductors include first conductors and second conductors, and the ground conductors are interleaved between adjacent first and second conductors. The intermediate segments of the first conductors extend adjacent to the first side of the ground bus. The intermediate segments of the second conductors extend adjacent to the second side of the ground bus.

    Abstract: A receptacle connector includes a housing having a slot configured to receive a mating connector therein. Signal contacts are held by the housing. The signal contacts include signal mating segments and signal mounting segments. The signal mating segments include signal mating interfaces that are exposed within the slot for engagement with the mating connector. Ground contacts are held by the housing. The ground contacts include ground mating segments and ground mounting segments. The ground mating segments include ground mating interfaces that are exposed within the slot for engagement with the mating connector. A ground bus electrically commons the ground contacts with each other. The ground contacts and the ground bus are integrally fabricated as a single, unitary, continuous structure.

    Abstract: A connector sub-assembly includes a dielectric carrier, plural signal conductors, and a ground frame. The dielectric carrier is defined by first and second overmolded bodies that engage one another at an overmold interface. An intermediate segment of each signal conductor is encased within the dielectric carrier. The ground frame is held between the first and second overmolded bodies at the overmold interface. The ground frame includes a ground bus bar encased within the dielectric carrier and plural ground conductors extending from the ground bus bar. The second overmolded body is formed in-situ on an inner side of the first overmolded body. An inner side of the second overmolded body at the overmold interface is partially defined by a profile of the inner side of the first overmolded body and partially defined by the ground frame.

    Abstract: Power connector assembly including a power contact having a base portion and opposing contact springs that project from the base portion along a mating axis. The contact springs oppose each other across a receiving space and are configured to engage a common conductive component that is inserted into the receiving space in a direction along the mating axis. The power connector assembly also includes an alignment body that has a support plate and a coupling member that engages and holds the power contact. The support plate includes an elongated slot and a contact window.
