    Abstract: A system described herein may apply an authorized set of traffic parameters, such as network slicing parameters, Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, etc. to traffic associated with a particular application, without exposing an identifier of the traffic to one or more network devices of a network that handles the traffic. A client associated with a User Equipment (“UE”) may selectively apply traffic parameters to traffic associated with the particular application further based on whether a UE-side authorization of the particular application for the traffic parameters has been performed. The UE may present a user interface via which a user may select whether to authorize or deny the use of traffic parameters, authorized by the network, for the particular application. If the particular application has been authorized by both the network and the user of the UE, the UE may apply the traffic parameters to traffic associated with the particular application.

    Abstract: A device includes a memory to store a User Equipment Route Selection Policy (URSP) and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: obtain network traffic comprising first network traffic and second network traffic, wherein the second network traffic originates from one or more user equipment devices (UEs); apply the URSP to the network traffic; and in response to applying the URSP, forward protocol data units (PDUs) of the network traffic to either a first tunnel to a first network slice or a second tunnel to a second network slice. The first tunnel and the second tunnel are established from the device to the first network slice and the second network slice over communication paths that include at least a wireless communication link from the device to a radio access network (RAN).

    Abstract: A method for initiating quality of service levels within a user equipment (UE) device may include receiving application mapping rules from a core network, storing the application mapping rules within the UE device, and determining, by the UE device, a slice service profile (SSP) category associated with an application flow. The method may further include determining, by the UE device, whether an application mapping rule associated with the SSP category is stored within the UE device, and obtaining, from the UE device, a quality of service level for the application flow based on the SSP category, in response to determining that the application mapping rule is stored within the UE device.
