    Abstract: A method for repairing multicast/broadcast content via peer to peer communications, which includes receiving at least a part of a file transmitted by a wireless multicast/broadcast service (WMBS) session via an access network; exchanging, via a peer to peer network, completion messages between the UE device and peer UE devices upon completion of the WMBS session; identifying an amount of the file received at the UE device, and amounts of the file received at each of peer UE devices based on the exchanged completion messages; sending repair data to repair the file on each peer UE devices in response to identifying that the UE device received the entire file; and sending repair data via the peer to peer network, obtained from the access network, in response to identifying that the UE device received less than the entire file and more of the file than each of the group of peer UE devices.

    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may be used to provide users personalized point-of-interest (PoI) information. A context server may cause information, describing PoIs in a particular geographic area, to be sent to a device (e.g., a component of a vehicle, a user device, etc.) communicating with a wireless telecommunication network. The device may individually determine which PoIs to display to the user based on factors such as a current location of the device, an operating status or condition of a vehicle associated with the device, and historical behavior information. The PoIs sent to the vehicles may include a personalized PoI that may be displayed to drivers in a highlighted manner. Additionally, the device may collect driving behavior information relative to the PoIs and/or the personalized PoI and provide the driving behavior information to the context server as feedback.

    Abstract: A device can receive a request to provide content to a set of devices in a service area. The request can include a set of content configuration parameters associated with the content. The device can obtain the content by using the set of content configuration parameters to search a content source. The device can separate the content into a set of content segments using a content configuration parameter of the set of content configuration parameters. The device can provide multicast session instructions to a multicast system to cause the multicast system to provide the set of content segments to the service area using a multicast session. The multicast session can be used by the set of devices to store one or more content segments of the set of content segments.

The processor may be further configured to obtain a multicast session list associated with the service class from a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) device; identify a broadcast associated with the service class based on the obtained multicast session list; instruct the multicast middleware to tune into the identified broadcast during a time period associated with the identified broadcast; receive content associated with the identified broadcast using the multicast middleware; retrieve the content associated with the identified broadcast from the multicast middleware; and provide the retrieved content to an application installed on the UE device.

    Abstract: A device connects to a standard channel of a multicast network based on entering a service area, and receives a service announcement (SA) file via the standard channel. The device parses the SA file to determine a list of services identified in the SA file, and receives a selection of a priority service from the list of services. The device updates a priority counter associated with the priority service based on the selection. The device receives, after the period of time, information indicating entry into the service area, and determines that the priority counter satisfies a threshold based on receiving the information indicating entry into the service area. The device automatically connects to a priority channel of the multicast network, associated with the priority service, based on the priority counter satisfying the threshold, and receives a priority SA file, associated with the priority service, via the priority channel.
