Abstract: A method, network device, and non-transitory storage medium are described, in which a device receives input from an entity that is authorized to select parameters associated with issuing remote control commands to multiple autonomous vehicles operated in a geographic service area; generates an autonomous vehicle control token based on selected parameters; and transmits the autonomous vehicle control token via a plurality of multicast bearers associated with multiple base stations of the geographic service area in a wireless network, to the multiple autonomous vehicles over a same multicast channel.

Abstract: A device receives a first message indicating that content was transmitted to a telemetry device, generates and sends a second message to a remote device. The device receives a third message from the remote device including first information identifying the remote device and second information identifying a neighbor device of the remote device, and generates and sends a fourth message to the remote device, causing the remote device to download the content via a link and send the fourth message to the neighbor device, which causes the neighbor device to download the content via the link. The device receives a fifth message from the remote device including third information indicating whether the remote device and the neighbor device downloaded the content via the link, and generates and sends, to the base station, a sixth message including the first information, the second information, and the third information.

Abstract: A method for repairing multicast/broadcast content via peer to peer communications, which includes receiving at least a part of a file transmitted by a wireless multicast/broadcast service (WMBS) session via an access network; exchanging, via a peer to peer network, completion messages between the UE device and peer UE devices upon completion of the WMBS session; identifying an amount of the file received at the UE device, and amounts of the file received at each of peer UE devices based on the exchanged completion messages; sending repair data to repair the file on each peer UE devices in response to identifying that the UE device received the entire file; and sending repair data via the peer to peer network, obtained from the access network, in response to identifying that the UE device received less than the entire file and more of the file than each of the group of peer UE devices.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to register a service class for the UE device with multicast middleware installed on the UE device. The processor may be further configured to obtain a multicast session list associated with the service class from a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) device; identify a broadcast associated with the service class based on the obtained multicast session list; instruct the multicast middleware to tune into the identified broadcast during a time period associated with the identified broadcast; receive content associated with the identified broadcast using the multicast middleware; retrieve the content associated with the identified broadcast from the multicast middleware; and provide the retrieved content to an application installed on the UE device.

Abstract: A method for refining multicast service areas based on location may include receiving, at a mobile device, location-based definitions of service subareas located within a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service area. Different MBMS content may be associated with two or more service subareas. The method includes storing the received location-based definitions of the service subareas within the mobile device, generating a current position of the mobile device, identifying a service subarea from the plurality of service subareas that circumscribes the current position of the mobile device, and permitting, in response to the identifying, user access to MBMS content associated with the identified service subarea.

Abstract: A system may receive registration information regarding a user equipment (UE). The system may determine a UE usage type for the UE from a plurality of UE usage types. The plurality of UE usage types includes a first UE usage type associated with accessing first services using a cloud domain name system (DNS) and a second UE usage type associated with accessing second services using an edge DNS. The system may receive a notification indicating that the UE is requesting access to a service and identify an edge device for providing access to the service. The system may obtain information identifying the UE usage type of the UE based on UE identification information of the UE. The system may provide, to the UE, DNS information regarding using the cloud DNS or the edge DNS to obtain a network address of the edge device.

Abstract: A device may receive emergency data, traffic data, network performance data, crime data, and gunshot data associated with a geographical area and may identify a location within the geographical area based on the emergency data, the traffic data, the network performance data, the crime data, and the gunshot data. The device may determine, based on the emergency data, the traffic data, the network performance data, the crime data, and the gunshot data for the location, a risk level for the location and may identify an autonomous vehicle based on the risk level, the traffic data, and the network performance data for the location. The device may determine a route for the autonomous vehicle to the location based on the traffic data and the network performance data for the location, and may perform actions based on the autonomous vehicle and the route.
