    摘要: The invention relates to a printing method by an offset printing press and an offset printing press by which a substrate process is carried out for low-whiteness printing paper such as paper for newspaper with aqueous substrate treatment agent so that the print quality can be improved. In the invention, in order to suppress occurrence of a curl of printing paper, substrate treatment agent containing solid fine particles and a binder component is supplied to a printing face of printing paper, and the substrate treatment agent is dried to form a porous layer having a great number of holes having a smaller diameter than that of pigment contained in printing ink from the solid fine particles and the binder resin. Then, offset printing is carried out on the printing paper.

    摘要: A printer and a restoration method for a printing plate which can be reused, while coping with digitization of printing processes is provided. On a substrate serving as a hydrophilic surface mounted beforehand onto a plate cylinder, a toner image portion formed on the surface of a photosensitive material is adhered and fixed directly or via an intermediate body to thereby form an image area. In thus way, the substrate is divided into a hydrophobic image area having at least a 50° or higher contact angle with water and a non-image area having an ink repulsion property, to thereby form a printing plate. After completion of printing, the ink and wetting solution adhered to the surface of the printing plate are cleaned by a cleaning apparatus, and image area on the surface of the printing plate is then removed by a chemical treatment solution supply roller, to thereby restore the printing plate to the initial condition so that this can be reused.

    摘要: A printing plate material which can be adapted to digitization of the printing process and recycled and a method for renewing it. As the printing plate material, there can be used one which includes a substrate on the surface of which a coat layer containing a titanium oxide photocatalyst and at least one member selected from salts or oxides of Fe2+, Ni2+, Mn2+, Cr3+, and Cu2+ is formed. In an initial state of the printing plate as prepared, it is adjusted to a state where the surface of the coat layer is hydrophobic. This surface is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to convert a part of the surface to a hydrophilic surface. This conversion is performed based on digital data corresponding to an image to be printed. In this case, the hydrophobic portion is used as a printing image portion and the hydrophilic portion is used as a non-printing image portion. After completion of the printing, the compound is applied again to change the surface of the coat layer into the initial state of the printing plate as prepared, in which the surface of the coat layer exhibits hydrophobicity again.

    摘要: To provide an electrophotographic printer which can satisfy regulations for exhaust gas emission easily, a printer is provided with a circulation line for taking out and returning gas generated in a casing of the printer, and a heat exchanger, for cooling the gas and for recovering solvent, is provided midway on the circulation line. The heat exchanger lowers a concentration of the gas. A detection sensor detects a temperature and humidity of the gas in the casing and a heater, provided downstream of the heat exchanger, adjusts a humidity of the gas which is then returned into the casing, upon receiving an output of the detection sensor.
