    摘要: There is provided an accicular ferromagnetic metal powder with which one can produce magnetic media for high-density recording that are improved in storage stability and magnetic characteristics.The improved ferromagnetic metal powder essentially consists of iron and 50 atm % based on the amount of iron of cobalt and at least one of aluminum and yttrium or any other rare earth element and contains no more than 0.05 wt % of an element of Group Ia of the periodic table (Li, Na, K). The amount of aluminum is in the range of 0.1-30 atm %, the amount of yttrium or any other rare earth element is in the range of and 0.1-10 atm %, each being based on the total quantity of the metal elements present. In either of these cases, the residue of an element of Group IIa of the periodic table (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) is preferably 0.1 wt % or less.

    摘要: A robot arm drive apparatus of an industrial robot comprising: an electric motor having a drive shaft; a first robot member having the electric motor mounted thereon; a second robot member rotatably supported on the first robot member; and reduction gear means for reducing rotation of the electric motor and then transmitting to the second robot member. The reduction gear means has a primary reduction gear for reducing the rotation of the electric motor and a secondary, planetary reduction gear for further reducing rotation of output of the primary reduction gear. The primary reduction gear has a reduction ratio such that the maximum number of rotations of the electric motor is reduced less than the characteristic torsion frequency of the drive system. The secondary reduction gear has an eccentric input shaft connected with the primary reduction gear, an external gear which is rotatable eccentrically in response to rotation of the input shaft, an internal gear held in mesh with the external gear, and larger in number of teeth than the external gear by one, and carrier means held in engagement with the external gear.

    摘要: A powder for an underlayer of a coating-type magnetic recording medium comprises acicular iron oxide particles having an average major axis length in the range of 20-200 nm, has a specific surface area measured by the BET method of 30-100 m2/g and has a powder pH of not greater than 7. The underlayer powder preferably contains 0.1-5.0 wt. % of P and optionally contains an amount of R (where R represents one or more rare earth elements, defined as including Y) such that R/Fe expressed in atomic percentage (at. %) is 0.1-10 at. %. The iron oxide powder enhances the properties required of a powder for forming the underlayer of a multi-layer structure coating-type magnetic recording tape, most notably the surface smoothness and strength of the tape.
