摘要： A record medium playback apparatus includes a playback section and a playback control section. The playback control section is adapted to control a playback start position of the program information when the record medium playback apparatus is restarted after power thereof was turned off. The playback control section determines the playback start position of the program information using a first sequence when the record time of the whole program information corresponding to the playback position at the power off is less than a predetermined time. The playback control section determines the playback start position of the program information using a second sequence when the record time of the whole program information corresponding to the playback position at the power off is equal to or longer than the predetermined time.

摘要： An information reproducing apparatus is provided with: a clamping device (900) capable of clamping and clamp-releasing a recording medium (100); a rotating device (20) for rotating the recording medium clamped by the clamping device; a reading device (30) disposed opposite to an information record surface of the recording medium for reading information recorded on the information record surface of the recording medium; a driving device (34, 34D, 32) capable of moving the reading device in a radial direction of the recording medium; and a linkage device (24, 83, 85) for linking a clamping or clamp-releasing action by the clamping device with a movement of the reading device by the driving device. The driving device moves the reading device as a first driving voltage is supplied to the driving device upon reading the information recorded on the information record surface, the first driving voltage including such a value that the action of the clamping device is not linked with the movement of the reading device by the linkage device.

摘要： An information reproducing apparatus comprises: a reproducing device which reproduces program information recorded on a recording medium; and a control device which, when a user's instruction is necessary at the time of reproducing said program information, requests the user to input the necessary instruction, waits for the instruction from the user and, controls reproducing operation of said reproducing device in response to the instruction from the user at the time of input of the instruction. The control device determines whether sound information desired by the user is included in said program information or not and, when it is determined that the sound information is included in the program information, controls the reproducing operation of said reproducing device in accordance with a preset reproducing procedure without waiting for said instruction input from said user.

摘要： An information recording-reproducing apparatus includes carrier rollers arranged in a carriage path having a width almost equal to a diameter of a large diameter disc, and a mechanical side switch PSW at one peripheral end of the carriage path. First and second optical detectors are arranged in the carriage path at an interval smaller than a diameter of the small diameter disc. The first optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval larger than the diameter of the small diameter disc, while the second optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval smaller than the diameter of the small diameter disc. The type of the disc as well as difference between the disc and an object other than the disc are determined based on the detection signals from the optical detectors and the side switch.

摘要： A recording medium reproducing device comprises: reading means using a pickup to read data from a recording medium, and outputting the data thus read; memory control means for controlling the output data of the reading means to store the data in a memory; reproducing means for reading data from the memory and converting the data into a reproducing signal; and a microcomputer for controlling the reproducing means. In the reproducing device, the microcomputer varies a threshold value set for the memory, according to the time of absence or the frequency of absence of the output data of the reading means. Thus, the reproducing device eliminates the difficulty that the user feels unpleasant because of the frequent pause of sound reproduction.

摘要： A fixing apparatus is provided that enables a recording medium that has undergone heat-fixing to be separated smoothly from a heating medium without causing a sheet jam or image disturbance. In this apparatus, there are provided on the guide surface of a separator two step parts raised along the guide surface guide width direction. Recording paper is transported gripped by a fixing nip, is guided so as to come into contact with only the apex parts of step parts, and is separated from the surface of a fixing belt. Thus, a gap is formed between the guide surface and the heat-fixing surface of recording paper guided along the guide surface, the contact area between the heat-fixing surface of recording paper and the guide surface decreases, the heat-fixing surface of recording paper becomes less prone to adhere to the guide surface of the separator, and recording paper is smoothly separated from the fixing belt without causing a sheet jam or image disturbance.
