The driving device moves the reading device as a first driving voltage is supplied to the driving device upon reading the information recorded on the information record surface, the first driving voltage including such a value that the action of the clamping device is not linked with the movement of the reading device by the linkage device.

    摘要: An information recording-reproducing apparatus includes carrier rollers arranged in a carriage path having a width almost equal to a diameter of a large diameter disc, and a mechanical side switch PSW at one peripheral end of the carriage path. First and second optical detectors are arranged in the carriage path at an interval smaller than a diameter of the small diameter disc. The first optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval larger than the diameter of the small diameter disc, while the second optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval smaller than the diameter of the small diameter disc. The type of the disc as well as difference between the disc and an object other than the disc are determined based on the detection signals from the optical detectors and the side switch.

In the reproducing device, the microcomputer varies a threshold value set for the memory, according to the time of absence or the frequency of absence of the output data of the reading means. Thus, the reproducing device eliminates the difficulty that the user feels unpleasant because of the frequent pause of sound reproduction.

    摘要: A fixing apparatus is provided that enables a recording medium that has undergone heat-fixing to be separated smoothly from a heating medium without causing a sheet jam or image disturbance. In this apparatus, there are provided on the guide surface of a separator two step parts raised along the guide surface guide width direction. Recording paper is transported gripped by a fixing nip, is guided so as to come into contact with only the apex parts of step parts, and is separated from the surface of a fixing belt. Thus, a gap is formed between the guide surface and the heat-fixing surface of recording paper guided along the guide surface, the contact area between the heat-fixing surface of recording paper and the guide surface decreases, the heat-fixing surface of recording paper becomes less prone to adhere to the guide surface of the separator, and recording paper is smoothly separated from the fixing belt without causing a sheet jam or image disturbance.
