摘要： An information recording-reproducing apparatus includes carrier rollers arranged in a carriage path having a width almost equal to a diameter of a large diameter disc, and a mechanical side switch PSW at one peripheral end of the carriage path. First and second optical detectors are arranged in the carriage path at an interval smaller than a diameter of the small diameter disc. The first optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval larger than the diameter of the small diameter disc, while the second optical detector and the side switch are arranged at an interval smaller than the diameter of the small diameter disc. The type of the disc as well as difference between the disc and an object other than the disc are determined based on the detection signals from the optical detectors and the side switch.

In the radio communications apparatus, the transmit frame includes a predetermined number of resource elements having a predetermined frequency bandwidth and a predetermined symbol period, and the generator generates the transmit frame such that the number of transmit antennas which are identifiable from a location of the resource element taken up by a pilot signal in a certain transmit frame is less than the number of transmit antennas which are identifiable from the location of the resource element taken up by the pilot signal in a retransmission transmit frame of the certain transmit frame.

摘要： On a single chip are formed a plurality of magnetoresistance effect elements provided with pinned layers having fixed magnetization axes in the directions that cross each other. On a substrate 10 are formed magnetic layers that will become two magnetic tunnel effect elements 11, 21 as magnetoresistance effect elements. Magnetic-field-applying magnetic layers made of NiCo are formed to sandwich the magnetic layers in plan view. A magnetic field is applied to the magnetic-field-applying magnetic layers. The magnetic field is removed after the magnetic-field-applying magnetic layers are magnetized in the direction shown by arrow A. As a result of this, by the residual magnetization of the magnetic-field-applying magnetic layers, magnetic fields in the directions shown by arrows B are applied to the magnetic layers that will become magnetic tunnel effect elements 11, 21, whereby the magnetization of the pinned layers of the magnetic layers that will become magnetic tunnel effect elements 11, 21 is pinned in the directions shown by arrows B.

A CD changer includes a disk receiving part, disk carrying part, positioning part, motor, and transmission restricting part 74. The disk receiving part has a plurality of holders each for holding a CD. A plurality of the holders are arranged being piled on one another and movable along the arranging direction. The disk carrying part carries the CD. The positioning part moves the disk receiving part along the arranging direction. The motor supplies drive force to both the disk carrying part and the positioning part. The transmission restricting part 74 restricts the drive force of the motor to be transmitted to the positioning part when the disk carrying part carries the CD.
