    摘要: A prism-type pointer is provided adjacent to a front face of a prism-type dial plate in such a manner that their prism apex angles are directed in opposite directions, respectively. Those portions of the dial plate having characters/scale markings or the like are recessed, and a light source is provided at a back side of the dial plate. A pointer drive portion is provided on a bottom surface of the dial plate so as to effect a parallel movement of the pointer. Light of the light source, passed through both of the dial plate and the pointer can reach a driver's eye point, and light, passed only through the dial plate, can not reach the driver's eye point, except for those portions thereof having the characters/scale markings or the like.

    摘要: An indication display unit for vehicles of this invention is provided with a head-up display (HUD), an indication projector, a display device located at the ceiling of the vehicle, and a reflector forwardly located relative to a driver's seat. The indication display unit of this invention further includes a shifting mechanism for the reflector so that when the vehicle speed decreases lower than a predetermined low speed limit, the reflector can be completely shifted away from the driver's visual field. The shifting of the reflector can be accomplished by having the reflector shift in a vertical direction or just outside, but near the driver's visual field, in a horizontal direction.

    摘要: A displaying apparatus for a vehicle to project a pattern to be displayed of an indicator on a half mirror disposed in front of a driver's seat such that a driver of the vehicle sees the pattern overlapping views outside a front windshield of the vehicle. The displaying apparatus comprises a projector for projecting the pattern. The projector includes the indicator, etc., and is received within a case which is provided to a ceiling in the interior of the vehicle to accommodate a room lamp. The half mirror is fitted to a fitting device installed on a dashboard of the vehicle such that an angle of the half mirror is freely set. The half mirror is set on the dashboard at an angle in a range between 100 and 120 deg. the angle being formed toward the front windshield from a horizontal line (0 deg) extending to the driver.

    摘要: A plate-shaped display device is partitioned into a meter display area and a HUD display area. Images displayed on the display device are visible on both front and rear surfaces of the display device. A direct image displayed on the meter display area is projected toward an eye range of a vehicle driver. A reflected image displayed on the HUD display area is firstly projected in a direction opposite to the eye range. Then, the reflected image is reflected at a magnifying mirror and a windshield, then finally projected toward the eye range.

A movable member 3′ of the cover-mirror unit stands up along a flat inner wall 1a1 of a housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is in use, and lie down to cover an opening of the housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is not in use for carrying out an up/down operation. In particular, through the down operation, by a link mechanism, a bottom end of the movable member is gradually moved upward by following the inner wall 1a1 of the housing 1a.
