    摘要: A method of assigning feedback information in a portion of a Medium Access Control (MAC) channel in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes receiving at least two pilot signal from an access network (AN) on at least two forward traffic channel, transmitting at least two channel quality information on a single reverse carrier to the AN reporting at least one of strength and quality of each corresponding forward pilot channel, wherein the channel quality information indicates a desired data rate for receiving data on the corresponding forward traffic channel, and receiving feedback information through a forward control channel of the AN, wherein the feedback information includes combined channel quality information which indicates whether or not the AN is able to receive multiple channel quality information sent by an access terminal (AT) on the single reverse carrier.

    摘要: A method for receiving data at different frequencies includes receiving a first transmission packet including data at a first carrier frequency, and receiving a second transmission packet comprising data at a second carrier frequency. The method further includes maintaining communication with transmission entities which transmit the first and second transmission packets, and identifying reception quality of the first and second transmission packets. In addition, a method for retransmitting subpackets includes transmitting a first subpacket of a packet transmission from at least two transmitting entities. Upon receiving a non-acknowledgement NACK generated responsive to the first subpacket, the method further includes alternating transmission of subsequent subpackets from different transmitting entities. Upon receiving an acknowledgement ACK generated responsive to any subpackets of the packet transmission, the method further includes transmitting a first subpacket of a new packet transmission.

    摘要: A method for retransmitting packet data within a wireless communication network includes forming a plurality of subpackets for transmission along a route which was previously used to transmit a missing packet, such that the subpackets collectively include a header portion and a data portion of the missing packet to be retransmitted. The method may further include forming a first subpacket having a header portion and data portion, such that the header portion includes header data associated with a stream and route used to transmit the subpackets, and the data portion includes the header portion of the missing packet and data represented by only some of the data portion of the missing packet. An additional operation forms one or more additional subpackets which each include a header portion having header data associated with the stream and the route, and a data portion that includes only some of the data portion of the missing packet.
