Abstract: In at least one example, a medical device is provided. The at least one processor is configured to deliver at least one pacing pulse via the at least one therapy electrode and to analyze processed acoustic data to determine whether the at least one pacing pulse resulted in capture.

Abstract: According to an aspect, an improved modular wearable medical device for monitoring a patient's ECG signals and providing therapeutic shocks in the event of a cardiac arrhythmia is provided. The device includes a garment, a plurality of ECG sensing electrodes that are permanently coupled at first predetermined locations on the garment, at least one pocket or receptacle disposed on the garment and configured to removably secure a module with device electronics within a housing to the garment, a plurality of wires or cables permanently integrated into the garment and operably coupling the plurality of permanently coupled ECG sensing electrodes with the sensor interface module, a plurality of therapy electrodes removably coupled to second predetermined locations on the garment, gel deployment circuitry, one or more capacitors, and a therapy control module configured to control the provision of the therapeutic shocks.

Abstract: A non-invasive bodily-attached ambulatory medical monitoring and treatment device with pacing is provided. The noninvasive ambulatory pacing device includes a battery, at least one therapy electrode coupled to the battery, a memory storing information indicative of a patient's cardiac activity, and at least one processor coupled to the memory and the at least one therapy electrode. The at least one processor is configured to identify a cardiac arrhythmia within the information and execute at least one pacing routine to treat the identified cardiac arrhythmia.

Abstract: An external wearable defibrillator for monitoring a patient for cardiac-related events is provided. The defibrillator includes ECG sensors configured to be disposed about a torso of the patient, therapy electrodes, and at least one motion sensor. The ECG sensors, therapy electrodes, and at least one motion sensor are configured to be worn continuously for an extended period of time. The defibrillator includes a wearable medical device controller including at least one processor configured to receive ECG data, receive motion data, identify at least one of ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation, initiate a treatment protocol including a defibrillation shock, and, using at least one of the ECG data or the motion data, identify a predetermined pattern for syncope. The predetermined pattern includes bradycardia. The at least one processor is further configured to record the predetermined pattern in a memory and perform an intervening action to address the predetermined pattern.

Abstract: An external medical device includes a user interface; at least one therapy electrode configured to be disposed on a patient; and a processor operatively coupled to the at least one therapy electrode, the processor configured to cause a treatment manager to detect a cardiac condition of the patient; receive, via the user interface, discomfort information descriptive of the discomfort experienced by the patient; responsive to determining from the discomfort information that the patient is unconscious, execute at least one pacing routine, the at least one pacing routine being associated with the cardiac condition; and responsive to determining from the discomfort information that the patient is conscious, adjust at least one characteristic of the at least one pacing routine.
