Two-point hitch mount systems for connecting an implement to a tow vehicle having two hitch arms are disclosed. The hitch mount systems may include a shaft configured to be attached to the two hitch arms of the tow vehicle and a yoke assembly. The yoke assembly includes a first and second shaft slots for removably receiving the shaft.
Abstract:
During coordinated operation of multiple different modular traction power units (MPUs), a desired change in relative tractive effort contributed by each of the MPUs is identified. Relative distances between a connection point for each MPU and an implement hitch point is determined, in order to identify a hitch bar target position that will achieve the identified relative tractive effort contribution. The hitch bar is adjusted to make distance adjustments, based on the target position, to achieve the identified relative tractive effort for the MPUs.
Abstract:
A hitch assembly for use by an agricultural machine, in particular a self-propelled windrower, allowing the adjustable position of a hitch for use in both the towing of implements during field operations and the transportation of implements from one location to another. The adjustable hitch advantageously provides stability during the transportation position and is up and out of the way of crop flow during field use.

A coupling mechanism couples a towed implement to a prime mover. The coupling mechanism includes a housing fixed to the prime mover, a coupler frame fixed to the implement, and a coupler plate movably mounted to the coupler frame. A pivot pin projects from the housing. A lever member pivots on the pivot pin. The lever member has a first arm with a latch pin and a second arm with a locking recess. A lock pin projects from the coupler plate, and a latch member is fixed to the coupler frame. The latch member has a latch finger which forms a slot. The latch member engages the latch pin, pivots the lever member and moving the latch pin into the slot as the coupler frame moves towards the housing. The locking recess receives the lock pin as the lever member is pivoted by the latch member.

A coupling assembly couples a towed implement having a tongue to a vehicle having a pickup hitch. The coupling assembly includes a coupler manifold which is mounted to the vehicle and which supports vehicle couplers. An implement coupler frame is attached to the tongue, and an implement plate is movably coupled to the implement coupler frame. The implement plate supports implement couplers for mating engagement with the vehicle couplers. The manifold is engagable with the implement plate. Spring members are biased to urge the implement plate towards the manifold.

A drawbar hitch mechanism has a fore-and-aft extending receiver, a gearbox assembly coupled to the receiver and a tongue assembly attached to the gearbox assembly. A first pivot mechanism couples the receiver with the gearbox assembly for side-to-side movement about a longitudinal axis of the receiver. A draft arm is configured to disperse draft loads between the tongue assembly and the receiver. A second pivot mechanism couples the gearbox assembly and the draft arm. The second pivot mechanism is oriented such that it pivots about an upright axis such that the gearbox assembly and second pivot mechanism enable pivoting movement of the tongue assembly relative the receiver.

An agricultural tillage implement includes a center frame section having a front frame member extending transverse to a travel direction, a rear frame member extending transverse to the travel direction, and a plurality of longitudinal frame members extending from and attached between the front frame member and the rear frame member. The plurality of longitudinal frame members include a pair of side frame members positioned at respective sides of the center frame section, and a pair of load distribution frame members. A plurality of tillage implements extend downwardly from the center frame section. A pull hitch is directly attached to the front frame member at two attachment locations and extends forward from the center frame section in the travel direction. Each attachment location is aligned with a respective load distribution frame member.

A method and apparatus for automating some of the tasks that heretofore required operator action at headland turns or similar events are provided. The present invention automates operation of lift assist wheels and/or gull wings, such as those found on a stack-fold implement, based on the position of the tractor hitch to which the implement is coupled. An operator may control the position of the implement, such as at a headland turn, by raising and lowering the tractor hitch using a remote control. The invention enables the planter to compare the tractor hitch position relative to an implement position and control operation of the implement accordingly without additional user inputs.

The present forwardly-folding implement includes a telescoping tongue assembly, a main frame, a folding frame assembly, a rear frame assembly, left and right wing frame assemblies, and a readily replaceable toolbar assembly. The folding frame assembly is pivotally attached to the tongue assembly and to the left and right wing frame assemblies. The wing frame assemblies pivot vertically and horizontally from the rear frame assembly and optionally include powered wheel mechanisms or assist assemblies, which hydraulically pivot components of the instant implement between transport and operational configurations. When the present implement is being configured for transport, the tongue assembly is extended as the folding frame assembly and left and right wing frame assemblies are folded generally transversely to the rear frame assembly. Then, the wheel mechanisms are pivoted upwardly so that outboard portions of the wing frame assemblies are totally supported by the folding frame assembly.

A sway block for a three-point hitch of an agricultural implement has a frame for supporting a tow hook; and the frame in turn has two substantially parallel right-angle plates. A respective pair of levers is hinged to each right-angle plate by pins; and each pair of levers is associated with a respective lock member operated from above by an operator using an actuating mechanism. The sway block performs the dual function of preventing sway and supporting a tow member.
