摘要： A slide-fastener stringer half comprises a knit tape having a plurality of parallel longitudinally extending wales and a plurality of transversely extending courses, and a monofilamentary coupling element on the tape and having a succession of turns each having a pair of shanks and a coupling head joining the shanks and projecting transversely beyond the longitudinal edge of the tape. The shanks of each turn lie at least in regions adjacent the respective head in a plane generally perpendicular to the tape. The tape comprises at least one warp yarn forming a chain knitted into the tape at every other course and overlying the shanks at the regions adjacent the heads. Thus the shanks are laid into the chains at these regions so that the coupling element is thoroughly integrated into the knit of the tape. The tape itself may be formed of a full-tricot ground. Alternatively the tape can be formed of second weft yarns having open loops at each course and extending transversely each over two respective wales. The warp yarn, as it overbridges each other course, is briefly pulled tight to produce fold-like seats in the ground unit to receive the paired shanks.

摘要： A slide fastener comprises two continuous plastic filaments, each with a multiplicity of helicoidal coupling elements for interlocking with the elements of the opposite filament, each filament being woven integral with the threads of its respective support tape to form a single tape-like unit. Each coupling element has a coupling head on a loop end and a long shank and a short shank extending from opposite sides of the loop end. The long shank terminates in a first bight portion connecting it with a long shank of one adjacent coupling element, while the short shank terminates in a second bight portion connecting it with a short shank of another adjacent coupling element. The coupling elements are arranged in rows of mirror-image pairs, each including two long shanks and two short shanks. Warp threads are interwoven with the coupling elements, with even stronger bracing possible with bulbous projections on the long shanks, short shanks, first bight portions or second bight portions using textile weft threads.

摘要： A concealed slide fastener having fastener tapes each carrying along its folded one longitudinal edge a row of fastener elements. The fastener elements are secured to the elementcarrying edge by two needle threads interlooped together with a looper thread at the legs remote from the edge, one of which needle thread is when cross-sectionally viewed vertically extended and passes through a cord within the elements and the other of which is extended obliquely at an angle to the vertical axis towards the fold of the element-carrying edge and hold the fold in place on the coupling region of the elements. The lastmentioned needle thread abuts against an inner periphery of the cord and serves to urge or bias the cord away from the coupling region to maintain a constant clearance thereat required for proper coupling engagement of the two opposed rows of fastener elements.

摘要： A slide-fastener stringer has its turns (of continuous coil or meander coupling element) secured to its fabric support tapes by means of single-needle or double-needle double chain-stitch or lockstitch wherein bights of the needle thread straddle the coil turns and pass through the filler cords. The U-shaped bights of the needle-thread loops of each stringer half snugly embrace the individual turns and this thread is so tensioned that the looper or gripper thread lies completely along the opposite face of the support tape. The support tape is formed parallel to at least one of its longitudinal edges with a longitudinally extending valley or channel in which the looper, locking or gripper thread lies. In addition the upper side of the coil is formed with a longitudinally extending groove (formed by notches in the shanks of the turns) in which the needle thread lies. After stitching of the interleaved coils to the tapes the thermoplastic monofilament needle thread which has been stretched, is heated to thermally fix and shrink it.

These legs are embraced by the stitches which are in part shielded by the remainder of the coupling element.
