    摘要: An electronic furniture assembly of the present invention comprises: (i) a furniture assembly comprising: (A) a base (e.g., a seat portion), (B) at least one transverse member (e.g., a side, armrest or backrest), and (C) a coupler for selectively coupling the base to the transverse member; (ii) an electrical hub for providing electrical power to the speakers, the hub configured to selectively reside within the furniture assembly; and (iii) a speaker system mounted within one or more portions of the furniture assembly. The speaker system comprises one or more speakers mounted within the base and transverse member, hiding the speakers therein, and saving space within a home or office, using the same footprint for both furniture and speakers, providing a high fidelity surround sound system.

When the current mode is another operation mode (an audio playback mode or a head position measuring mode), the audio processing unit 35 sets the directionality of a microphone array to be directed toward the outside of the occupant or to be non-directional (steps S4A and S5A) and obtains input audio of the microphone array. In contrast, when the current mode is an operation mode (the speech mode or the conversation mode) in which audio of the occupant is obtained, the audio processing unit 35 arranges the directionality of the microphone array to be directed toward the occupant (step S2A).

The wireless electrical power transmitter is configured for mounting below a top support surface in an upper region of an upright arm of a furniture article such as a chair or sofa. The electrical cord has a proximal end coupled to the wireless electrical power transmitter and a distal end configured to extend downwardly through the upright arm and exit the furniture article for connection to an outside power source, such as a wall outlet. The wireless power transmitter is energizable by the outside power source to wirelessly convey electrical power to a portable electrical or electronic device having a wireless electrical power receiver and a rechargeable energy storage device, when the portable electrical or electronic device is supported at the top support surface of the upright arm.
