摘要： Certain aspects are directed to an ophthalmic specialty instrument configured to allow patients to treat MGD and other dry eye conditions themselves which is easy to operate and more effective. The ophthalmic specialty instrument comprises a main body of two arms with a distal end and a proximal end; wherein the two arms are pivotably coupled to a common connection point at the proximal end and a pair of angled and slightly wedged pressure plates are attached to the distal end of the two arms; wherein an exfoliating member is also attached to the proximal end; and wherein the pressure plates are angled downwardly and outwardly from the longitudinal planes of the arms and have gentle radius of curvature that match the curvature of eyelids to facilitate a substantially 90° approaching angle to the eyelid margin as opposed to making contact with the eyelids tangentially.

摘要： A minimally invasive ab interno triple surgery for open-angle glaucoma comprises knotting and fixing a suture at the head end of an optical fiber catheter; performing miosis with carbachol, injecting the viscoelastic into the anterior chamber, making a lateral incision at the infratemporal corneal limbus, and placing the optical fiber catheter; cutting the Schlemm's canal on the nasal side of the anterior chamber, inserting an optical fiber into the incision on the Schlemm's canal, and cutting off the suture; injecting the viscoelastic to expand while retreating the microcatheter, and regularly injecting the viscoelastic; making a conjunctival flap on the eye and nose side, performing anterior chamber paracentesis, clamping out the suture using intraocular microforceps, and knotting in the sclera tunnel; and suturing the conjunctival flap using the suture, coating the eyes, and covering the eyes with gauze to finish the surgery.

摘要： An instrument for removing debris from an eye during the treatment of an ocular disorder has a swab and a rigid member. The swab includes a tip portion sized to provide access to the debris on an eyelid of the eye. The cross-sectional member profile is non-circular and has a first groove. The first groove extends longitudinally along the proximal end portion for cooperating with a chuck such that rotation of the proximal end portion within the chuck is inhibited.
