摘要: A holder for mounting a hand tool to a surface has a suction cup positionable upon a surface. A yoke is connected to a central area of the suction cup, and is movable in a vertical direction relative to the surface, to distort the suction cup to secure the suction cup and yoke to the surface. A frame includes a cradle shaped to receive and support the hand tool, and a base. An extension connects the base and the cradle. A cam pin is movable within the frame, and has a cam profile that slides along the cam engagement surface of the yoke to displace the yoke along a vertical axis to increase or decrease the pressure between the suction cup and the surface.

摘要: An apparatus and method for an articulating microsurgical instrument is disclosed herein. The articulating microsurgical instrument may be configured to be operable with a Doppler probe, bone grasper, soft tissue grasper/dissector, scissors, flexible forceps, or a suction/irrigation line configured to provide tools within a surgical location that can be adjusted to a desired angle of operation. A tip assembly may comprise an articulating portion at a distal tip and the articulating portion may be configured to deflect upon actuation of an articulation control. The articulation control may be a trigger assembly or a roller wheel. A bayonet-style handle may include a set of posts configured to interact with the one or more control wires during actuation of the articulation control. One or more control wires may be housed in a lumen and actuated using a articulation control of a handle assembly.

摘要: The present invention relates to a reflux disease treatment apparatus, comprising two or more movement restriction device segments adapted to form an implantable movement restriction device with an elongated shape that maintains cardia in the correct position. The movement restriction device has proximal and a distal end, wherein the distal end is adapted to stabilize and hold the proximal end. The invention further comprises a control device for controlling the stimulation device to stimulate the cardia sphincter. The distal end can be further adapted to treat obesity, for example by stretching the wall of the stomach or filling out a volume of the stomach.

摘要: A cooling tower for evaporative cooling of water is contained within an ISO-compliant shipping container frame, permitting stacking of cooling towers for transport and for certain industrial applications. A volume of fill media is contained within the frame. Spaced apart troughs underlie the fill media, running substantially the length of the fill media and connecting to a basin. Baffles are connected to one upper edge of the troughs, while an air flow space is positioned over the other upper trough edge. A water distribution system, with variable flow nozzles positioned closely above the fill media, sprays water over the upper surface of the fill media, where it moves by gravity down into the troughs. Fans atop the fill media move air vertically upward through the fill media.

摘要: A surgical tissue grasper includes a handle assembly having a trigger, an endoscopic assembly, and a jaw assembly. The endoscopic assembly includes an outer tube and a driver. The driver is movable within the outer tube and operatively coupled to the trigger. The jaw assembly includes a stem detachably coupled to the driver, and a pair of jaws extending distally from the stem such that actuation of the trigger transitions the pair of jaws between spaced apart and approximated configurations to enable clamping of tissue. Each jaw of the pair of jaws includes a gripping portion and an outer support. The gripping portion is configured to engage tissue. The outer support is disposed outward of the gripping portion and coupled to an end portion of the gripping portion to enable flexing of the gripping portion or the outer support when a clamping force applied to tissue exceeds a predetermined threshold.

In use, the one or more transparent projections can be concurrently pressed against the wound while holding an eye stable with gripping surfaces of the forceps. The one or more transparent projections and the gipping of the forceps work together to aid in a suture placement.
