摘要： A whirlpool bath is provided with a bathtub body, a circulating pump, a hot water circulation path disposed between said bathtub body and said circulating pump, a plurality of blow-off nozzles which are mounted on said respective terminal ends of the hot water circulation path, and an air intake portion connected to the hot water circulation path to permit blowing of air-mixed hot water into said bathtub body from the blow-off nozzles and control means for selectively controlling the degree of opening of each blow-off nozzle, the degree of opening of the air intake portion and the number of revolutions of said circulating pump to provide blow-off of the hot water in various modes which are different in the blow-off amount and pressure. Namely, the whirlpool bath is capable of giving various kinds of massaging effect including a stimulating effect and a relaxing effect to a bather.

摘要： The invention relates to a discharge nozzle for the discharge valve of a whirlpool tube having a water inlet duct and an air inlet duct, in which the water stream and air stream are mixed together as the result of an injector effect. In order to improve the hydropneumatic massaging effect, the water inlet duct is disposed axially and centrally with respect to the inner surface of an outer disk-shaped distribution element and is open to a radially outwardly leading circular discharge duct formed between the outer distribution element and an inner disk-shaped distribution element. The air inlet duct discharges air into a ring interstice defined between the inner distribution element and the tub wall or the valve body or valve housing of the discharge valve.

摘要： A water massage device with entrained air is held against the region to be massaged. Mechanical displacement of the device coupled with pulsations in the water-air flow create a gentle massage. Air is entrained by passing a high velocity water jet across an air gap and through a receiving tube into a rotor chamber. Differential pressures developed in the housing establishes an air draw through the receiving tube into the housing. An eccentrically weighted rotor revolves under the impact of the jet causing the entire device to counter rotate creating the massage displacement. Each blade of the rotor developes a high pressure leading zone which sweeps away spent water. Each blade also developes a low pressure trailing zone as the blade passes the receiving tube, which favors the air draw.

摘要： Bathing systems with electronic and optionally microcomputer control of optionally multiple functions, user safety being assured by fibre-optic remoting techniques. Systems include electrically safe optical control means to be positioned in or proximate to the bathing location, this location being a swimming pool, bathtub, whirlpool bath, shower, bidet, or similar installation. These systems also include such valves, pumps, pulsation-causing devices, water conditioning devices, and the like, as may be required by any of the multiple functions that may be desired, all of these devices being under the control of a single electronic controller responsive to the optical control means at the bathing location, and also responsive to various water condition sensors.The optical control means includes a light altering mechanism, preferably an optical touch switch such as might be operated by light reflected from the user's finger, this mechanism being connected by fibre optic tube means to a remote light source and detector; it may also include a display means such as optical fibres or fibre bundles carrying light from remote light sources indicating water or other conditions known by the electronic controller. The electronic controller preferably includes a microcomputer because of the ease with which microcomputers can handle many input variables and many possible output functions, for the optimization of both comfort and efficiency of the bathing installations.For simplicity of installation, fibre optic tube means are preferably incorporated into the water-carrying plastic pipe.

摘要： A hydrotherapy apparatus having a single nozzle which is continuously rotated through a circular path by a water wheel. Conduits divide a source of pressurized water into first and second portions, the first portion flowing past the water wheel before rejoining the second portion. Thereafter both portions flow through a venturi where they are aerated, through the center of the rotating flywheel, and through the rotating nozzle from which they are discharged. A valve can be manually adjusted for varying the amount of pressurized water that flows past the water wheel to alter its speed of rotation.
