摘要: A DVT prevention and/or mitigation device including a wearable band having an inflatable bladder with an inflatable portion. A majority of the inflatable portion of the inflatable bladder being positionable between a user's knee and a midpoint of the user's gastrocnemius muscle when the wearable band is disposed about a leg of the user. The inflatable bladder also being inflatable to apply pressure to a portion of the user's gastrocnemius muscle and a compressed air source coupled to the wearable band to deliver to the inflatable bladder successive compression cycles at a frequency of at least 3 cycles per minute, each compression cycle having a compression period and a peak inflation pressure to induce circulatory flow in a venous valve sinus of the user from each successive inflation.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices, systems and methods adapted for implementing intermittent displacement of blood to mitigate peripheral nerve neuropathy such as that induced by chemotherapeutic agents (i.e., chemotherapy-induced neuropathy (CIN)) that are administered to a patient. Such devices, systems and methods advantageously provide for precise, uniform and controlled blood flow occluding (and optionally blood displacing) compression along irregular surfaces of an appendage of a patient. Such precise, uniform and controlled blood occluding compression is imparted upon the epidermal and dermis skin layers within the aforementioned areas of a patient's extremities to decrease the time that free nerve endings located in the epidermal and encapsulated nerve endings located in the dermis skin layers are exposed to nerve damaging chemotherapy chemicals, thereby substantially decreasing CIN caused by prolonged exposure to such chemicals.

摘要: A negative-pressure cup structure includes a cup and a vibration generating mechanism. The cup has a chamber. Two ends of the cup are separately formed with an opening end and a closed end. The closed end is provided with a negative-pressure suction hole and an electric connection hole communicating with the chamber. A bar is extended from the closed end and located in the chamber. The vibration generating mechanism includes a box, a vibration member disposed in the box and a power connector electrically connected to the vibration member. The vibration generating mechanism is fixed in the chamber of the cup in a manner of the box and the bar being connected and the power connector being inserted to the electric connection hole. Therefore, the users may obtain a better vibrational sense.

摘要: A composition, method and related systems for treating and/or preventing spasticity in a patient using negative pressure therapy. The negative pressure therapy may include intermittent application of negative pressure to a limb or portion of a body, such as alternating between periods of negative pressure and ambient pressure. The negative pressure therapy may be applied on a regular basis for a predetermined period, such that an effective amount of negative pressure for treating spasticity and other symptoms of neurogenerative diseases is administered. The negative pressure therapy may be applied to cause intermittent activation of the venous arterial reflex in the body for a sustained period, such that symptoms of neurogenerative diseases are alleviated or prevented.
