    摘要: A method of removing undesired coatings from the interior surface of tubes includes inserting a fluid-dynamically unstable impact head into the tube, providing or maintaining fluid flow through the tube and altering the length of a tether attached to the impact head to move the impact head along the tube. As a result of the fluid flow, the impact head moves chaotically within the tube, impacting the interior surface of the tube and removing undesired coatings therefrom. An apparatus for accomplishing the method preferably includes an impact head, a flexible retaining line and a carriage moveable within the tube, the carriage aiding in the centering of the retaining line.

    摘要: A pipe cleaning apparatus for cleaning large diameter pipe comprises a frame coaxially supported within the pipe. A plurality of legs and arms are mounted to the frame and are extendible to engage the interior surface of the pipe. The legs include drive wheels for advancing the apparatus through the pipe. The arms include attachments mounted on the distal end thereof for cleaning and inspection of the interior surface of the pipe. Multiplexing and electrical power is provided to the apparatus from a remote control facility. A hydrolift assembly suspended from the bottom of the apparatus is provided to remove debris accumulated in the pipe. A one atmosphere detachable vessel may be mounted to the frame for transporting divers to the work site within the pipe.

The dimensions of the pigging vehicle (1) are such that its movement is not forced in a conventional manner along the pipeline (14), but instead the pigging vehicle (1) simply travels along under the influence of the production fluid (100). The pigging vehicle (1) further comprises a weight changing mechanism (9) that moves between a first and second condition. After a predetermined time, or after travelling a predetermined distance, the weight changing mechanism (9) may be activated so as to adjust the floatability of the device. By employing this monitoring apparatus advanced warnings of areas of a pipeline that are vulnerable to corrosion can be detected along with areas which have already degraded due to corrosion.

    摘要: A cleaning module for cleaning sewer pipes including sewer liner, and other types of conduits. The cleaning module may comprise a single hydraulically propelled unit, wedge-shaped and selected to fit pipe size. Pipeline walls are scoured by the slurry agitation produced by hydraulic pressure jets in the module. Alternatively, the module is assembled in situ and the relative size of components is selected depending upon the diameter of the pipeline. The module may comprise a front unit and rear unit or a frame assembly and a drive assembly. The modules contain a motor, preferably a hydraulic motor. The motor drives flails, thereby disintegrating solid waste or generating and propelling a sludge slurry. The slurry scours the pipeline walls by cavitation and abrasion action. Also disclosed are systems for cleaning a sewage line section and methods of their use. A system for cleaning pipelines is described which utilities and recycles, as a solid waste transport medium, nearly one hundred percent of the extracted liquid waste. The mobile extractor and separator unit comprises a separator for separating sludge waste from liquid and particulate waste, and for separating liquid waste from particulate waste. The mobile extractor and separator unit of the present invention also employs gravity and a conveyor belt or screw auger to transport the sludge waste.
