    摘要: A bar clamp configured for engagement with a workpiece is provided. The bar clamp includes a pair of parallel elongated bars, each extending along a longitudinal axis. The bar clamp also includes a fixed connector and a movable connector extending along a transverse axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis for connecting the elongated bars together and maintaining a transverse separation therebetween. The bar clamp further includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting a transverse separation between the elongated bars and for compressing the workpiece along the transverse axis, a positioning mechanism for adjusting a position of the movable connector along the longitudinal axes of the elongated bars, and a longitudinal compression mechanism connected to the fixed connector for compressing the workpiece along the longitudinal axis. A bar clamp assembly for engagement with a workpiece and including a plurality of spaced-apart bar clamps configured for receiving therebetween the workpiece is also provided.

The mechanism also includes a first clamp portion having a first drive block engaged with the first rod portion and a first clamp arm having a pin-in-slot connection to that drive block, as well as a second clamp portion having a second drive block engaged with the second rod portion and a second clamp arm having a pin-in-slot connection to that drive block. The first clamp arm and the second clamp arm are secured to each other, yet rotatable with respect to each other, at a proximal end of each respective clamp arm. A clamp block may function as part of the securement.

    摘要: A miter clamp is provided in which includes a paddle a non-slip surface that can be placed on a miter-cut piece of material. The paddle is connected to a channel structure that has disposed of therein a shaft assembly, which has connected to it a lower material holding structure that holds a second miter-cut piece of material. The shaft assembly is locked into place by a position lock that is attached to the paddle, with the position lock tab that contacts the shaft assembly and restricts movement of the shaft assembly. The relative position of the shaft assembly to the paddle can be changed such that the first and second miter-cut pieces can be brought in contact with each other. Other structures allowing for the fine movement of the shaft assembly are disclosed.

The expanding clamping device is positioned inside the longitudinal loading envelope of the work holding device. The expanding clamping device couples the workpiece to the first support column and the second support column.

The expanding clamping device includes a clamp base portion, first and second traversing wedge blocks, an actuation screw, and a clamp plate portion. The clamp base portion comprises a longitudinal recess, and the traversing wedge blocks are located inside the longitudinal recess, each block including an inclined contact surface and a threaded aperture. The actuation screw passes through the longitudinal recess of the clamp base portion and the threaded apertures of the traversing wedge blocks. The clamp plate portion comprises first and second declined contact surfaces. The work holding device comprises first and second support columns that define a longitudinal loading envelope. The expanding clamping device is positioned inside the longitudinal loading envelope of the work holding device and couples the workpiece to the first and second support columns.

The workpiece is fashioned with a dovetail protuberance, which protuberance is designed to affix the workpiece to the work holder to the machining operations. Once the machining is completed, the dovetail protuberance may be removed in any convenient manner. Thus, the finished product may not then exhibit the former protuberance.

    摘要: In one exemplary embodiment, a low-profile clamping system generally includes first and second elongate supports engageable with an edge portion of a sheet material for supporting at least part of the sheet material against bending. A fastener can releasably couple the first and second elongate supports to the edge portion of the sheet material. The first and second elongate supports define a channel for receiving the edge portion of the sheet material into the channel when supporting the sheet material. In another exemplary embodiment, an apparatus for transporting a sheet material generally includes a frame, at least one wheel coupled to the frame for allowing rolling movement of the frame, and an adjustable vice coupled to the frame for securing a sheet material in the vice on the frame.
