摘要: A process for manufacturing an elastomeric tire component includes the steps of a) preparing an elongated element including a cross-linkable elastomeric material by feeding it to an extruding device having a plurality of units, each having a respective thermal inertia, and b) delivering the elongated element onto a building support, and further includes at least one non-productive step of c) submitting at least one of the units of the extruding device to a thermal transition selected from heating or cooling, substantially reducing the risk of scorching during the thermal transition from and to the non-productive step ranking the units according to their thermal inertia and heating the units starting with the top-ranked unit sequentially to the bottom-ranked unit to reach the respective working temperature or cooling the units starting from the maximum working temperature unit sequentially to the minimum working temperature unit to reach the respective non-working temperature.

摘要: The invention is an extruder temperature controller for an extruder barrel. The extruder temperature controller includes means for determining an actual screw speed and has means for storing a plurality of screw speeds. Each member of the plurality of stored screw speeds has a corresponding stored temperature reset value. The extruder temperature controller has a means for comparing and selecting that compares the actual screw speed to each of the plurality of stored screw speeds and selectes a default screw speed. The default screw speed has a smaller deviation from the actual screw speed than any other member of the compared, stored screw speeds. The controller further includes a means for generating a control output driver signal to the heat exchange means. The control output driver signal is the corresponding stored temperature reset value for the default screw speed. The invention further includes a means for delaying a control alarm for a predetermined time when the means for generating a control output driver signal to the heat exchange means operates at or near maximum capacity. The invention includes a method for controlling the temperature of an extruder barrel.

摘要: A fastening component of a separable fastener has some portion that is necessary for its fastening function, such as the hooks, the base to which the hooks are attached or a substrate that is used for another purpose, comprised of a magnetically attractive constituent. Another portion of the fastening component is comprised of a magnetically inert constituent. The fastening element may be the hook portion or the loop portion of a typical fastener. The fastening elements and the base may be unitary, or of different precursors, such as in a woven fastener component. The magnetically inert constituent may comprise a polymeric plastic or a thermoplastic elastomer. The magnetic attractant may impregnate the magnetically inert constituent, or it may coat or be coated by the magnetically inert constituent. The magnetic attractant may comprise a metal powder. The metal may be selected from the group consisting of iron powder. The magnetic attractant may be an organo-iron or a rare earth metal. In a woven fastener, either the base structure or the hooks may include the magnetic attractant, or both may do so. The material that forms the hooks may be entirely of a magnetically attractive material, with the material that forms the woven base being magnetically inert. Rather than the magnetically attractive material being incorporated into the fastening elements or the base, it may be incorporated into the substrate that is formed from a precursor element that is separate from the base, and that is joined to the base.

摘要: A method for the manufacture of shaped bodies by extrusion moulding of plastic-filler mixtures with filler contents of more than 50% by volume, preferably from 65 to 90% by volume, by means of an extruder with a conveying input zone. The method is restricted to use of fillers having good thermal conductivity. For carrying out the method, initially a mixture is manufactured from molten or fluid synthetic resin and the filler and this is ground and graded after cooling. Afterwards, there is extrusion of the ground mixture or of fractions separated from this and graded. According to a preferred variant of the method, an extruder is used for the extruding having a conveying input zone whose extrusion part consists merely of an input zone and an output zone. According to a further variant of the method, plates are manufactured by cutting up lengthwise a tubular extrusion emerging from the mouthpiece in the extruding and the casing of the extrudate thus obtained is bent flat and this extrudate is then cut up into plate lengths.
