摘要： Disclosed is a sheet delivery and position controlling apparatus for an ink jet printer. The sheet delivery and position controlling apparatus includes a sheet discharging unit having a sheet delivery roller for discharging in sequence printed sheets to a sheet stacker, a delay unit having a swivel unit pivotally provided between the sheet delivery roller and the sheet stacker for movable between a first position which does not interfere with the sheet discharged from the sheet delivery roller and a second position which interferes with the sheet discharged from the sheet delivery roller to delay a time period to be placed on the sheet stacker after the printed sheets are discharged, a driving motor, a power transmission unit for transmitting power from the driving motor to the swivel unit to selectively swivel the swivel unit to the first position and the second position, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the driving motor.

摘要： An apparatus and method for conveying absorbent articles may utilize a conveyor including a vacuum source in fluid connection with a deck. The deck may include a channel. The conveyor may also include a belt including a first surface, an opposing second surface, and an aperture. The second surface of the belt may be in facing relationship with the deck such that the aperture is aligned with the channel. A first row of angled teeth and a second row of straight teeth may be connected with the second surface of the belt. The first row of angled teeth and the second row of straight teeth mesh with a first gear member and a second gear member, respectively. The first and second gear members may be attached to an axle member such that the first gear member and the second gear member rotate with the axle member advancing the belt.

Only one main drive motor can drive both of the two spaced apart sheet feeding nips, together with a lower power, lower mass, deskewing differential drive system for providing the relative differential angular movement of the two spaced sheet feeding nips to achieve the desired amount of sheet deskewing movement, without interrupting the forward feeding movement of the sheet. Also disclosed are extensive further reductions in the component mass of the lateral translation movement for lateral sheet registration.

摘要： The present invention relates to a device for adjusting the width of a paper web at a rotary lithographic press and the object of the present invention is to prevent ink or specks of paper from becoming attached to contact parts of a pressing member so as to contaminate the surface of the paper web, and to enable straightforward fitting and removing of a rotatable pressing member. This configuration is therefore provided with one or more pressing members 1 with a plurality of contact members 11 provided integrally in a rotating manner so as to be capable of being mutually separated along the widthwise direction of a paper web W, a support shaft 20 supporting the pressing member(s) 1 in a rotatable manner, wavy surface adjustment means 2 capable of moving the support shaft 20 towards and away from the surface of the paper web W, and pressing member rotation drive means 4 for simultaneously rotating and driving the pressing member 1. It is then possible to move at least one of the pressing members 1 towards and away from the surface of the paper web W and rotational drive is possible in such a manner that rotational speed of the peripheral surfaces of the contact member 11 of the pressing member(s) 1 may be different to the speed of travel of the paper web W.
